How to Make Ninja Foodi Rice

Ninja Foodi Rice

rice (white-washed if you prefer)

chicken broth

butter (salted)

salt

pepper

add to pot

Add rice, broth, butter, salt and pepper to Ninja Foodi insert pot and stir.

close lid

Close pressure cooking lid and move valve to seal position.

pressure cook

natural release

When timer beeps, natural release pressure for 10 minutes and then quick release remaining pressure.

open

fluff rice

Stir using a silicone or wooden fork or spatula.  I don’t recommend that you use a spoon to stir as it tends to break up the rice a bit more and then the grains stick together and start to get mushy.  If your rice is a little undercooked for your liking, simply put the pressure cooker lid back on and let it sit for a few extra minutes.  Do not turn the Ninja Foodi on during this time.  The rice will continue to cook from the steam in the pot.

Ninja Foodi Rice Recipe

white rice

Run 2 cups of white rice under cool water in a metal strainer until water runs clear.

Add rinsed white rice to your Ninja Foodi. Pour in 2 1/2 cups water and add a dash of salt. See NOTES below for recommended times and amount of water for different types of rice.

Place the pressure cooker lid on (the one that is not attached) to the base until you hear it click in place. Turn valve to seal.

Select the &quot;Pressure Cook&quot; option. Turn to &quot;High&quot; setting. Set timer for 2 minutes. It will take time for the pressure to build. Once the pressure has built up the timer will start. When the time is up, it will say &quot;Done&quot; and then a new timer will start counting up. This is counting the time that pressure is naturally releasing.

Allow white rice to naturally release for 10 minutes. Then carefully turn the valve to vent to release the rest of the steam.

Open the lid and fluff the rice with a fork or spoon.
