We use our smoker to make bacon. Once the bacon is smoked you cut the skin away from the pork belly. I can't stand to waste all of that porky goodness so I learned to make fried pork skins aka pork rinds aka chicharrones. Whatever you call them, they are good. If you put the skin back into the smoker to dehydrate you can get some really smoky pork skins. Sprinkle these with a bbq rub after frying and it's like being in smoky, bbq, crunchy, heaven.

Make this easy and delicious Christmas crack a new holiday tradition. It has a wonderful combination of flavors. What makes this different for us is the addition of Bugles. They are extra salty. When coated with the white chocolate, we kept picking those out of the mix. Overall, this treat has the perfect sweet and salty combination. It's pretty when served. Wrap in cellophane bags for a homemade gift.

Christmas Reindeer Crack | Homemade Holiday Treat | Just A Pinch

This recipe came from a co-worker while I worked at our church.  It is a wonderful mix and super easy to fix! You mix it in a garbage bag (although I now mix mine in the super large Ziploc bags -- I think they are 10 gallon size)
This is a great recipe to use at holiday time!

Garbage bag Snack Mix

ounce(s) crispix cereal

ounce(s) goldfish crackers

oyster crackers

can(s) mixed nuts

bag(s) cheese combos

bag(s) pretzels (i use the buttery ones)

box(es) cheese nips

sour cream munch'ems

butter oil

garlic powder

onion powder

If you grew up knowing that an event was fancy because there was a shrimp or crab mold on the table, then this crab dip mold is for you. The base is smooth and creamy with bits of celery and red onion for a pop of freshness. All the flavors complement the sweet crab to make a wonderful crab dip. We made ours fancy in an old-fashioned Tupperware mold for a pretty presentation. Serve with your favorite crackers.

This is a great recipe, that I, too, have been making for nearly 40 years.  My original recipe called for canned shrimp (yuck), but since I live in the Pacific NW and have access to wonderful, fresh, local salad shrimp, that is what I use.  It is great with shrimp, fresh Dungeness crab or a combination of both.  Happy to see someone posted it!
