Cooking frozen hamburgers in the oven is the fastest, easiest way to get a family meal (that could also feed a crowd) on the table in a hurry! When you&#39;re in need of a simple dinner in a hurry, this straight-from-the-freezer burger recipe is all you&#39;ll need to save the day!

Frozen Hamburgers In The Oven

beef patties ((1/3 to 1/4 pound burger patties))

tsp each, salt & pepper ((to taste))

hamburger buns

cheddar cheese ((optional))

prepare

Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C) and spray or lightly grease a wire cooling rack with non-stick cooking spray. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil then place the rack onto your baking sheet.

season

Season the upward-facing side of your patties, then place them onto your prepared wire rack with the seasoned side facing downward. Leave some space between the patties for even cooking, then season the remaining side of your burgers.

Place in the center rack of your preheated oven and cook the burgers for 25 minutes. Flipping them after the patties have cooked for 15 minutes is optional (but I like to do this).

melt

(Optional) Top each patty with a slice of cheese and return to the oven for 1-2 minutes until melted. You can also toast the buns on a lower oven rack while melting the cheese.

serve

Remove from the oven when done and assemble burgers with your favorite toppings and condiments.

Baked Hamburgers Recipe

Heat

Heat oven to broil (high) and set the oven rack to the upper-middle position.

Line

Line a cast iron grill pan or baking sheet with foil.

Shape

Divide the meat into four 4-ounce portions. Very gently, and without overworking the meat, form each portion into 4 loose balls. Place one ball on a dessert plate or other flat surface and gently press it down to make a disc about ½-¾ inch thick (your personal choice). Now gently turn the disc around while slightly pressing an indentation around the edge (kind of like a moat right inside the burger’s edge). This will keep the burger from developing a mound in the middle and your burger will remain flat while cooking. Place the burger on the prepared pan and repeat the process with the remaining portions of beef.

Season

Season both sides of each burger generously with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, and place the burgers in the oven.

Broil

Broil for 4 minutes, or until the top has browned and beginning to char.

Flip

Flip the burgers over and broil until the center reads 155°F internally, about 3-4 minutes longer.

Top each burger with a slice of your favorite cheese, if desired, and cook just until the cheese melts.

Transfer

Transfer the burgers to a cooling rack and tent with foil to allow time for the internal temperature to reach 160°F.

Serve

Serve the burgers on toasted buns and top with the condiments of your choice.
