Yuzu Garlic Butter Japanese Style Seared Salmon

lb Salmon Fillet (we prefer skin on, but it's up to you)

Salt

Black Pepper

tbsp Olive Oil

Stalk Green Onion

tbsp Butter

tsp Soy Sauce

Clove Garlic

Yuzu

Gather all the ingredients.

Pat down any juice on salmon with a paper towel and sprinkle salt and pepper evenly on both sides of the fillet.  Cut into 2 vertical slices about 1 inch width and set aside.

Place butter in a small mixing bowl and melt in microwave (about 20-30 seconds but this will vary on your microwave).

Grind garlic with a grinder or garlic press and place into melted butter along with Soy Sauce and Yuzu.  Mix well and set aside.

Cut green onions into thin slices and set aside.

Add oil into cast iron pan and place on high heat.  Once the oil starts to lightly smoke, reduce heat to medium-high and carefully place salmon fillets into cast iron pan skin down (please note oil will splatter so take precautions).  Cover and cook for 2-2.5 minutes (1.5-2 minutes for skinless).  Note - when searing, don't move the meat.

After searing one side, carefully flip the salmon to the other side, cover and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.  Carefully transfer salmon to a serving plate when done.  Note - the salmon will be very fragile so make sure to support the bottom.

Lightly drizzle garlic butter sauce and sprinkle chopped green onion over salmon.

Put the oil and butter in a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat, swirling around the pan until melted and foaming, then turn up the heat. Once the butter starts bubbling, add the salmon fillets to the pan, skin-side-down, and fry for 3 mins until crisp. Flip the fillets over, lower the heat and cook for 2 mins more, then drizzle with the lemon juice. Transfer the salmon to a plate and baste with any of the buttery juices left in the pan.</p>

The BEST Pan Seared Creamy Tuscan Salmon Recipe

(4 oz) salmon filets

salt & pepper

grape seed oil

garlic cloves,

onion

dry white wine

red pepper flakes

cherry tomatoes

baby spinach

full fat coconut milk

lemon juice

basil, chiffon

Bring salmon filets out of refrigerator 15 minutes prior to cooking.

Add grape seed oil to the pan and then add salmon flesh side down, gently pressing the salmon into the pan to &#8220;help&#8221; the sear.

Then immediately add butter to the pan and let melt. Add in garlic and saute for 30 seconds, stirring the entire time.

Add in onions and saute until translucent, about 2 minutes.

Deglaze the pan with white wine, scrapping with a wooden spoon to get any brown bits from the bottom. Season with salt and 1/8 teaspoon of red pepper flakes.

Add in cherry tomatoes and cook for 3-4 minutes. As the cherry tomatoes start to soften, press down on them with a spoon to make them burst.

Next add in spinach and saute until wilted down, about 2 minutes.

Pour in the coconut milk. Stir and simmer for 3-4 minutes.

Then add lemon juice and fresh basil. Stir to combine.

Place the salmon back in the pan and serve!

Made it last night and it was delicious!  I made the full sauce recipe, but only 2 salmon fillets, so there was a lot of leftover sauce.  I refrigerated it.  Is it safe to reheat and reuse?  Any tips on best way to reheat the sauce?

30 Minute Creamy Tuscan Salmon

2 easy methods for making succulent salmon with crispy skin. Get dinner on the table in under 15 minutes!

Crispy Skin Salmon 2 Ways: Pan Fried and Broiled

avocado oil

(6 oz.) salmon fillets

fine sea salt

flaky sea salt

black pepper

lemon or lime wedges (optional)

avocado oil spray

Heat a medium/large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2-3 tbsp. avocado oil (depending on the size of the pan) and let it get hot until it shimmers and runs around the pan when you swirl it by the handle.

Pat the fillets dry and season the flesh side with the fine sea salt. Add them to the hot pan, skin side down. (Be careful with the hot oil.) Cook for 4-5 minutes, until the skin gets darker and crisp but not burnt.

Use a thin spatula and one other utensil (fork, wooden spoon, etc.) to help flip each fillet. The oil might splatter as the fillets land on the flesh side. Cook for another 4-5 minutes. The flesh should change from a bright pink to a softer pink.

If your fillets are especially deep, you might be able to tell from the sides that they&#x27;re not cooked through yet. To finish them off but avoid overcooking, carefully tip each fillet over onto its side to make sure all surfaces are cooked. Cook the sides as necessary for one minute. A thermometer (probe or instant) inserted in the thickest part of a fillet should read 125°.

Remove the fillets from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes. Sprinkle the skin with flaky sea salt, freshly ground black pepper and a squeeze of lemon or lime, if desired.

For pan-fried salmon:

Heat the broiler to high.

Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with avocado oil spray or spray of choice.

Pat fillets dry and season the flesh side with fine sea salt. Broil skin-side up for 4-5 minutes. The time depends on how close your food is to the broiler. Check at 4 minutes to be safe. The skin will have some darker, bubbly spots and look crisp but shouldn&#x27;t be burnt. If it doesn&#x27;t look much different, continue to broil, checking every 2 minutes.

Flip the fillets and broil flesh-side up for 4-5 minutes. The flesh should change from a bright pink to a softer pink. If your fillets are especially deep, you might be able to tell from the sides that they&#x27;re not cooked through yet. Scallion Ginger Salmon with Soy Dressing

1.3 lb salmon filet (skin on) (see notes 1 & 2)

ginger

tbsp light soy sauce

Shaoxing rice wine (see note 3)

½ tsp sugar (or honey)

¼ tsp ground white pepper

tbsp neutral cooking oil

Pat dry salmon filet thoroughly with kitchen paper. Sprinkle salt evenly over the flesh side.

Cut scallions into sections then slice them lengthwise into thin strips. Cut ginger into sticks.

Mix light soy sauce, Shaoxing rice wine, sugar (or honey), and white pepper in a small bowl.

Prepare

Pour oil into a skillet (frying pan). Add scallions and ginger. Fry over medium heat until the scallions start to wilt.

Push the scallions and ginger to the side of the skillet leaving most of the oil over the empty surface. Place the salmon, skin side down, over the hot oil. Press with a spatula to ensure the skin is in contact with the oil.

Leave to cook for about 3 minutes (remain on medium heat) then flip over to cook the other side for a further 4 minutes. During the process, as soon as the scallions and ginger start to brown, pick them out to avoid burning.

Finally, turn the heat to high, and flip over the salmon again to crisp the skin side for a minute. Once it browns nicely, turn off the heat. Transfer the salmon to a serving plate (skin side up). Pour the oil around it.

Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet. Use its remaining heat to bubble up the sauce for 5 seconds or so. Pour it around the salmon (see note 4). Sprinkle the fried scallions and ginger over the fish and serve immediately.

Pan-fry

Juicy, tender white wine garlic salmon pan fried and cooked in a delicious sauce is an easy,fool-proof recipe. Perfect served with greens for dinner.

White wine garlic salmon

(5-6 ounces) salmon fillets (skin on)

tbsp butter

garlic

parsley

Heat a large frying pan over high heat and add a splash of canola oil.&nbsp;

Dry the salmon fillets with paper towel and season generously with salt.&nbsp;

Carefully place the salmon into the hot pan, skin-side down, and turn down the heat to medium-high. Cook the salmon for 3-4 minutes until the skin is golden brown and crisp then flip over. Cook for another 1-2 minutes on the flesh-side until the salmon is cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.&nbsp;

Melt the butter in the pan and add the garlic. Fry until fragrant then add the wine and lemon juice.&nbsp;

Allow to simmer and reduce for 4-5 minutes then add the parsley and season to taste.&nbsp;

Add the salmon back into the pan and baste with the sauce, allowing the salmon to heat back up.&nbsp;

Serve with extra lemon wedges.&nbsp;

One Skillet Salmon with Lemon Orzo

tsp sweet paprika

yellow onion (finely chopped)

dry orzo pasta

thyme

chicken broth

juice from ½ lemon

Parmesan

black pepper (for servng)

chili flakes (for serving)

Get your prep done before you start cooking: Grate the Parmesan cheese, finely chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with garlic powder, sweet paprika and ½ teaspoon salt and pepper.

Heat oil and butter over medium high in a large nonstick pan or skillet. Add salmon fillets and sear, 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.Reduce heat to medium, add garlic and onion. Cook until soft and fragrant for about 2 minutes. Stir in thyme and the remaining salt and pepper. Add orzo and toast for 1 minute.

Pour in broth and bring to a boil. To maintain a simmer, reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook uncovered while stirring occasionally to prevent the orzo from sticking, until almost al dente and most of the liquid is absorbed, about 8 minutes.

Add spinach, stir and simmer until wilted for about 2 minutes. Stir in lemon juice and Parmesan. Add more broth, if needed. Taste and adjust salt.

Return salmon to the skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes, or until the salmon is heated through.
