Spicy Peach BBQ Sauce Recipe - This Spicy Peach BBQ Sauce is a delicious combination of sweet peaches and spicy bbq sauce! Perfect on so many dishes, this is amazing on chicken and pork!

Spicy Peach BBQ Sauce Recipe

Combine tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chopped peaches in a medium saucepan set over medium heat. Bring to a low boil and then cook until thick and coats the back of a spoon, about 10 minutes. Stir in peach preserves.

Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

This Chipotle Peach BBQ Sauce starts with a raspberry sauce base, puréed peaches, chipotle peppers and apple cider vinegar.

On the opposite end of the stem on the peaches make a crosscut in both directions so there is a “+” sign. Drop in boiling water for 30 seconds to a minute depending on the firmness of the peaches. If hard to the touch boil for a minute minimum. Remove peaches from boiling water with slotted spoon and when cool enough to handle peel the skin back from the cut. Discard the skin and pit. Rough chop the peaches and purée in a food processor or blender. Set aside.

In a medium saucepan add the rinsed raspberries, sugar and juice from the lemon. Cook on medium heat and using a spoon stir and break down the fruit. In a not the small bowl mix together the cornstarch and water and as you are stirring the raspberry mixture pour in the cornstarch slurry. Continue to stir as this thickens. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. When cool press the fruit through a sieve to extract the sauce and discard the seeds. Set aside.

In a heated sauté pan add the oil and chopped onions. Sauté until translucent and slightly browned.

In your food processor or blender add the sautéed onions, raspberry sauce, peach purée, chipotle peppers, kosher salt, vinegar and tomato paste. Purée until smooth. Season to taste with salt and for a more tangy flavor adjust with more vinegar if needed. Allow to cool and store in cleaned, airtight jars and refrigerate. Good for 7 days chilled.

Use as a basting and BBQ sauce on any grilled meat, or as a dipping sauce.

Dijon Peach BBQ Sauce Recipe

Heat olive oil in a sauce pot over medium heat and saute onions and jalapeno until translucent.

Add remaining ingredients, reduce heat to low, and bring to a very gentle simmer. Adjusting heat if needed, continue to cook about 15 minutes. Be sure to stir the sauce frequently!

Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Transfer to a blender and puree until smooth. (Tip: cover the blender with a dish towel to prevent any splatters)

I cooked it twice as long as the recipe said as I did not think 15 minutes would be enough time for the peaches, pepper, and onion, to blend their flavors together well.  It turned out real good.  It is pretty mild with just one jalapeno.  If you want much of a kick, add at least one or two more.

Roughly chop the shallots, garlic, and jalapeño, and roast on a grill or in a hot oven until softened and fragrant, 5-10 minutes. Add to a heavy saucepan with the stone fruit and spices, and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients, and stir to combine.

Add chicken and barbecue sauce to a slow cooker, and cook on low for 3 ½ hours. Prepare a sheet pan with heavy-duty foil.

Once the chicken is done cooking in the slow cooker, preheat the oven to broil. Remove the chicken, shaking off any excess sauce into the slow cooker, and add to the foil-lined sheet pan. Reserve remaining barbecue sauce.

Broil chicken

Season the chicken with kosher salt and black pepper. Broil the chicken for 3-5 minutes on each side until browned, watching carefully to ensure that it does not burn.

Glaze and serve

Remove from oven, and brush the chicken on each side with barbecue sauce. Serve hot, with remaining sauce.
