Dijon mustard brings a feisty little kick to this simple, classic pasta salad recipe.

Broccolini Pasta Salad

(16-ounce) box campanelle or other short pasta

Broccolini,

olive oil

tbsp. white balsamic vinegar

shallot,

garlic clove, finely grated

Dijon mustard

pt. cherry tomatoes, halved

c. smoked almonds,

c. Fresh basil leaves, torn

I did a variation on this using pear-infused vinegar and added grated Parmesan cheese, and brought it to an event as a side.  I used the basil growing in my front garden which I plant to keep the deer from eating my annuals. (Deer avoid herbs.)  😀 It was a big hit!
