This Pineapple BBQ Chicken is only 3 simple ingredients and absolutely delicious. We make this in the crock pot and serve it over rice. If you are a fan of sweet and sour chicken, this has a similar taste.

Pineapple BBQ Chicken

(skinless chicken breast (can be frozen))

Place the chicken breast in the slow cooker, cover with pineapple and the bottle of BBQ and cook on high for 2-3 hours or on low for 4-6.

Serve over rice or baked potato or just enjoy it in a bowl.

I made this and could not believe how easy it was. When my husband compliments a meal you know it was a success. He made sure I have enough to make it again.

I would like to try the tomato bread but instead of fresh tomatoes can I use sun-dried tomatoes?

Slow Cooker BBQ Pineapple Chicken

For the Pineapple Orange Barbecue Sauce:

onion

garlic, minced

natural ketchup

orange marmalade (lower calories, use sugar-free)

honey

Worcestershire sauce

brown mustard

salt

black pepper

sriracha sauce, optional, for additional heat

To Thicken the Sauce:

cornstarch

Place the sauce ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine. Place the chicken in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over. Cook on LOW for 4-6 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.

Carefully pour the liquid from the slow cooker into a saucepan and bring it to a simmer. Pour in the cornstarch slurry, whisking continually until the sauce is thickened. Pour the sauce back over the chicken. Serve with rice or mashed potatoes and your choice of veggies.

I really love your use of different spices to flavor your recipes. I had some fresh pineapple chunks that I needed to use up so I put pineapple in your search bar and this recipe came up. I didn't have any chicken thawed but I also had ham to use up so I diced that up instead. and finally instead of Soraka to heat it up I used a good dollop of garam masala. and it turned out delicious. I can see where I'll be using this recipe for chicken, turkey, pork, and again ham. thank you for spicing up my meals.

I had cooked chicken breasts which were very dry. I saw this recipe, &amp;made this awesome sauce. I cut-the chicken into small pieces and simmers it for a while. Love the pineapple and I added mandarin oranges, too. Served over rice. Teenage grandsons lived it.

This recipe was delish!  We really enjoyed it, especially with the Sriracha---we added just a bit more, but that's the only thing I did differently.  Thanks so much for the recipe!  BTW, would you know how to use the InstantPot for this?
