This rosé pasta (pink sauce pasta) recipe is one of my favorite pasta dishes. A great combination of pasta with tomato sauce and pasta with creamy sauce. That makes the best creamy tomato pasta dish. This pasta dish is made with fresh cherry tomatoes, cream, parmesan cheese and more amazing flavors. The best part of this pink sauce pasta that this dish is loved by children and adults alike and it's pretty east to make.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the penne pasta to al dente, according to the package instructions.

Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and then add in the onions. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until they are translucent. Add the garlic and cook for another 1 - 2 minutes, or until aromatic. (Stir frequently to avoid burning  your garlic and onions.)

This easy Pink Sauce Pasta recipe is creamy, comforting, and full of flavor. It&#39;s inspired by our favorite from Mama D&#39;s restaurant in Newport, CA, and it&#39;s so easy to make from home.

Pink Sauce Pasta

olive oil

dry white wine (, optional)

28 ounce can whole peeled tomatoes (, San Marzano brand)

rigatoni

heavy cream

parmesan cheese*

basil leaves (, chopped, for serving)

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter and oil and once better has melted, add shallot and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring often. Add garlic and dry spices and cook for 1 minute.

Optional: add white wine to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

Use (clean) hands to crush the whole tomatoes right into the pot, and add the rest of the juice from the can. Reduce heat to low and simmer, partially covered, for 30 minutes.

Cook rigatoni in salted boiling water, according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup pasta water, and drain cooked pasta (don’t rinse).

Use a blender or hand immersion blender to puree the sauce until smooth. Return to pot over low heat.

Stir in the heavy cream until combined. Add parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth. Taste and add additional seasonings if needed.

Add cooked pasta and toss to coat. Add some pasta water as needed, to thin the sauce.

Serve garnished with fresh basil and extra parmesan cheese.

This easy pink sauce pasta recipe is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. This rosé sauce requires 10 ingredients and gets ready in 30 minutes.

Pink Sauce Pasta Recipe (Rosé Sauce)

oz Dry Pasta (penne, rigatoni, lumachine, tortiglioni

White onion (or yellow, finely chopped)

Garlic (minced)

(14 oz) can San marzano tomatoes

Salt & Pepper (to taste)

Milk (full-fat whole milk)

whipping cream

Vegetarian parmesan cheese (freshly grated)

Basil leaves (chopped)

Cook the pasta al dente, according to package instructions. How to: Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Once it starts boiling, add a big pinch of salt and pasta. Stir it once to avoid pasta sticking together. The water will come to a boil again and cook pasta as per the package instruction time (until al dente).

Take san Marzano tomatoes into the food processor or a blender and make a smooth puree out of it.

Heat oil in a pan on medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add onion and garlic. Sprinkle a little pinch of salt to speed up the cooking process. Mix and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the onion starts to brown.

Add pureed tomatoes, remaining salt and pepper. Mix and let the mixture come to a simmer.

Lower the heat to medium-low, cover the pan partially with a lid and let it simmer for 15 minutes. Do stir once or twice in between and make sure that the sauce is not sticking to the bottom of the pan. You’ll notice the sauce has thickened up nicely.

Add milk and heavy cream. Mix and cook for 2 minutes.

Add boiled, drained pasta and parmesan cheese. Mix and cook until cheese is melted.

Add freshly chopped basil leaves and pink sauce pasta is ready to serve.
