Cast Iron Skillet Pork Chops

Drizzle some olive oil over pork chops. Season them with salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper (optional), garlic powder, and thyme. Turn them over and repeat again.

Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet/frying pan and add pork chops in. Fry for 4-5 minutes on each side. Transfer to a plate and let sit for 5 minutes.

Meanwhile: pour water in the skillet and with a spatula or silicone spoon deglaze the skillet - remove any pieces that are stuck to the bottom of the pan. Reduce the heat to medium-low and pour in ½ cup of whipping cream. Stir for a minute before adding mustard in. Stir until the sauce has thickened. Taste it. Add the rest of the cream (if you find the sauce too thin or too strong).

Serve the sauce separately or put the pork chops back in the skillet and serve as is.

Add 1 Tbsp butter and onions. Lightly season with salt and pepper. Cook 3-4 minutes, until onions&nbsp;are tender.&nbsp;

Add minced garlic and saute 30 seconds, stirring frequently.&nbsp;Add flour and stir vigorously for 30 seconds.

Add the chicken broth, hot sauce, whipping cream and season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer 2 minutes, or until cream begins to thicken. Add pork chops back to the skillet and cover with the mushroom sauce.&nbsp;

Reduce heat to low and simmer 5-8 minutes, allowing the pork chops to become tender and the flavors of the mushroom sauce to penetrate into the pork chops. Garnish if desired and serve.&nbsp;

Brown Pork

Preheat the Instant Pot on the sauté mode. Add the oil and brown the pork chops on both sides. Remove from the pot and set aside.

Sauté Veggies

Add the onions and sauté them until they are golden brown. Add in the mushrooms and continue sautéing until they become golden brown.

Add Broth

Add 1 cup of the beef broth and scrape the bits off the bottom of the pot. Add the pork chops back to the Instant Pot. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Cook With Pressure

Add the lid, set to sealing, and cook on manual high pressure for 15 minutes. Let the pressure naturally release for 10 minutes and then quick release the remaining pressure.

Add Starch

In a separate bowl, combine the remaining 1/2 cup of beef broth with the cornstarch. Remove the pork chops from the Instant Pot.

Make Gravy

Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode, add the broth mixture to the pot, and stir until the mixture thickens.

In my variant, the best way to make a delicious and gentle pork chop is to cook them on the stove using a cast iron skillet and bake them in the oven. This way, pork chops will get a golden brown and beautiful bark from the outside, but from the inside, they will stay juicy and delicate.




Baking Pork Chops in the Oven:






Heat the oven to 380 ° Fahrenheit. Then use salt and pepper to season them well. You decide the amount of salt and pepper according to your taste.


Place five small spoonfuls of butter in a bowl and place in a microwave oven or regular oven. Add garlic and thyme (mother's whey) once it melts. Stir well and leave it to rest. Cups Frozen Sweet Corn Kernels (Thawed)

Pork Loin Chops (Center Cut, 1/2" Thick)

Teaspoon Seasoned Salt

¼ Teaspoon Fresh Ground Black Pepper

Teaspoon Italian Herb Seasoning

Tablespoons Safflower Oil

Preheat oven to 375°F/191°C.

In a medium sized bowl mix together the cream style corn and the thawed sweet corn kernels. Set aside for later.

Dry the pork chops completely and season both sides of the chops with the seasoned salt, fresh ground pepper, and Italian herb seasoning.

Heat the safflower oil in a medium frying pan over medium heat until the oil is shimmering. Add the seasoned pork chops two at a time to the skillet and fry them on each side until lightly browned, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer the browned chops to a plate. Repeat with the remaining two chops.

Spoon 2/3 of the corn mixture into a 13 x 9” baking dish. Layer the browned pork chops on top of the corn mixture and spoon the remaining corn mixture on top of the pork chops. Tuck sprigs of rosemary around the chops.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour, or until the chops are tender and the creamed corn is hot and bubbling.
