Combine Ingredients into glass jar: About 3 dried orange slices, a handful of dried cranberries, 1 sprig of dried rosemary, a scoop of whole cloves, 3-4 cinnamon sticks, and a 2&#8243; piece of vanilla bean. 

Attach a gift tag and give as a gift with the following instructions: Pour contents of jar into a small saucepan, cover with water and simmer. Add more water as necessary. Enjoy the beautiful Christmas scent!

cinnamon sticks (broken (to release scent))

whole cloves

allspice berries

star anise (optional) (but it has a slight licorice scent)

cranberries

rosemary (optional)

To make a dried mix package, don't include the cranberries or fresh orange slices. You can add extra ground cinnamon, cloves and allspice to the mix too. The ground spices will release their scent faster.

If including the cranberries and orange, keep refrigerated until gift-giving time. Don't include the ground spices, as they will stick to the orange and the cranberries.

Add the dried mix, fresh cranberries and sliced orange to 2 - 3 cups water (or apple juice) in a saucepan or slow cooker. Simmer over low heat.

Never leave unattended and add water as needed.&nbsp;This mix will last for several days.

Slice fruit in to thin slices and place in water, along with rosemary sprigs, cloves, cinnamon sticks and anise extract.

Place on burner and simmer on &quot;low&quot; for at least 30 minutes or as long as you desire the scent to fill your home, or until the scents start to fade.

Fill with several cups of water.

Turn your burner to high heat and bring the water to a boil, then reduce to low heat and simmer.
