Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

oreos (14.3 oz)

unsalted butter, melted (1/4 cup)

peanut butter

oz cream cheese (softened)

container cool whip (8 oz, thawed)

chocolate chips

heavy whipping cream

Reese's peanut butter

Process the oreos in a food processor or blender until fine crumbs remain. In a large bowl, combine the crushed oreos with the melted butter. Press this mixture evenly into a 9 or 10 inch pie pan. Use the bottom of a measuring cup to pack the crust down. Place the crust in the fridge to chill until ready to fill.

Oreo Crust

In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and cream cheese with an electric mixer until well blended. Add the cool whip and blend on low until combined. Spread this mixture over the crust. Return pie to the fridge while making the ganache.

Filling

Place chocolate chips in a medium heat-proof bowl.

In a small pot over low heat, heat the heavy cream until just before boiling.

Pour the heavy cream over the chocolate chips. Allow the mixture to stand for 1-2 minutes.

Use a spatula to stir the mixture until smooth.

Allow the ganache to come to room temperature before adding it to the pie. Pour the ganache on top of the pie, using a spatula to evenly spread it.

Chocolate Ganache

Before the chocolate hardens, add the peanut butter cups. Start by adding the halved peanut butter cups around the edges, placing them as close or as far apart as you want. Then add chopped peanut butter cups to the center of the pie.

Cover the pie with tinfoil and return to the fridge or freezer for 1-2 hours. Before serving, remove the pie from the freezer and let it sit for a 15 minutes to make cutting it easier. Cover and refrigerate or freeze any leftovers.

It&#039;s creamy, dreamy and full of that delicious peanut butter flavor you crave. Plus, it&#039;s super easy to make - just mix everything together and pour it into a pie dish. The hardest part is waiting for it to cool before you can dig in!

Easy Reese's Peanut Butter Pie Recipe

Graham cracker crumbs

sugar

Unsalted butter

3½ oz Sweetened condensed milk

Cream cheese (softened)

Powdered sugar

oz Whipped topping (thawed)

Mini Reese's peanut butter cups

Preheat your oven to 350°F/175°C

Using a food processor or blender, blitz the Graham crackers until they are fine crumbs. Then, place the crumbs in a mixing bowl and stir in the sugar, then the melted butter. The crumb mixture should be grainy, if there are any big chunks of cracker break them up

Pour the crumb mixture into a 9 inch cake pan and using your hands press down on the crumbs so that the base and the sides are covered, you don&#39;t want to press too hard, just ensure that it&#39;s no longer crumbly. Use the back of a spoon to compact the edges of the base

Bake your crust for 10 minutes and then let it cool completely

For the Graham cracker crust

In a saucepan over medium heat, add sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips and stir constantly until the chocolate chips have melted

Remove the pan from the heat, add the butter and stir until the butter has melted. Pour hot fudge sauce over the cooled crust so that the crust is covered but not too thickly, set the remaining sauce aside

For the hot fudge sauce

Beat cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar together until smooth, then, using a rubber spatula, fold in half of the whipped topping

Spoon the peanut butter mixture over the crust and place the remaining whipped topping over it so that the filling is covered, smooth the topping with the back of a spoon. Chill for a minimum of 2 hours

When ready to serve, decorate with mini peanut butter cups, and if preferred, garnish with peanuts and hot fudge sauce (reheated). Enjoy your Reese&#39;s peanut butter pie!

For the filling

This easy no bake chocolate peanut butter pie has creamy peanut butter filling and a rich layer of homemade chocolate ganache. It&#39;s loaded with Reese&#39;s Peanut Butter Cups and a caramel and chocolate drizzle. A family favorite dessert perfect for a peanut butter lover!

graham crackers (12-14 full sheets, finely crushed)

butter (melted)

¾ cups creamy peanut butter (14 ounces)

cream cheese (softened/room temperature)

½ bowl whipped cream mixture (see below)

(coarsely chopped)

vanilla extract

caramel sauce (drizzled over top, optional)

chocolate sauce drizzle (drizzled over top, optional)

Finely chop 12-14 graham cracker sheets using a food processor or rolling pin.

Stir together crushed graham crackers, sugar and melted butter.

Press the mixture down on the bottom and edges of a 9-10&quot; pie plate using your fingertips or the back of a measuring cup.

Set aside.

To make the graham cracker crust

Heat ¼ cup of heavy cream in a small saucepan on low or heat in the microwave. Heat until almost boiling.

Add ½ cup of chocolate chips to the hot cream and remove from heat. Stir constantly until all of the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth.

Pour the chocolate over the bottom of the crust and smooth until even. Place in freezer for 30-45 minutes or until the chocolate has set. Begin making the peanut butter filling while the chocolate is in the freezer cooling.

To make the chocolate ganache layer

Using a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or a hand mixer, cream the cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth.

Add the cup of powdered sugar. Mix until smooth &amp; set aside.

To make the peanut butter cream filling

In a separate bowl, whip together heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Whip until stiff peaks form.

Using a rubber spatula, fold half of the whipped cream into the peanut butter cream mixture. Reserve the rest of the whipped cream for the topping.

Coarsely chop ~30 miniature Reese&#39;s Peanut Butter Cups.

Add the chopped Reese&#x27;s to the mixture (reserving ~1 cup for the topping). Mix until combined.

To make the whipped cream mixture

Remove the pie plate from the freezer once the chocolate layer has set.

Spread the peanut butter filling mixture evenly over the chocolate layer.

Put the remaining whipped cream in a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe small circles around the edge of the pie.

Place the remaining chopped Reese&#x27;s in the center of the pie, inside of the piped whipped cream circles.

Drizzle the top of the pie with caramel and chocolate sauce.

Allow to set in the fridge for at least an hour before enjoying. Serve chilled. Store in the fridge for up to 1 week, or freeze for 6-8 weeks.

Assembling the pie

The flavor is delicious! Requires quite a bit of clean up. Stand mixer, food precessor, hand mixer, and beaters. There was no way this was going to fit into my standard pie plate. I ended up using a 9 inch spring form pan. Next time I would purchase a deep dish pie pan. Although, the spring form worked beautifully.

I make this recipe every year as gifts for my girlfriends.  I use potpie pans, makes four nice size pies. Great for shareing or freeze the extra pies for a treat another day. My favorite dessert!

Made this recipe last year for Christmas for my family gathering, it is now a new tradition since it was asked of me to bring it again this year. So yummy!

I bought a pack of pot pie tins and were able to make four individual pies from this recipe as Christmas gifts. They were a hit!
