Hi, I used to make spinach burgers that were so good, now I tried to make them with GF panko and they came out mushy tasting on the inside. What would be the best to try? The pretzels or the cereal or what?

This quick and easy method allows you to create delicious, sweet glazed nuts with a foolproof result! Sprinkle these Easy Glazed Nuts on salads, add them to charcuterie platters, or pack them into mason jars for gift giving.

Easy Glazed Nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Spread the nuts out evenly over a small baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes, or until nuts are fragrant and toasted.

Remove the nuts from the oven and spread them out evenly across the bottom of a 10-inch non-stick skillet. Sprinkle the sugar evenly over the nuts. Cut the butter into 6 little pieces and scatter them over the top. Turn the heat under the skillet to MEDIUM-LOW. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the butter has completely melted and sugar is almost completely dissolved. Add water. Increase heat to MEDIUM and cook, stirring constantly, for two to three minutes, shaking the pan occasionally, until the water cooks completely off, the sugar has completely dissolved, and the buttery sugar mixture is mostly sticking to the nuts. Pour the nuts out on to a sheet of wax paper or foil. Use a wooden spoon to separate them a little so they don&#x27;t all stick together as they cool.

Allow the glazed nuts to cool completely before serving.

These &quot;fried&quot; chickpeas are a wonderful salad topping or snack in their own right. When you are bored of popcorn, give chickpeas a whirl instead. Or use them as a salad topper! Makes about 1 1/2 cups of fried chickpeas.

Fried chickpeas in the air fryer

chickpeas (1 15 ounce can, drained & rinsed)

Spritz cooking spray

nutritional yeast flakes

Put the drained chickpeas into the air fryer basket. Set the air fryer for 400 degrees and 12 minutes.

Cook the plain chickpeas for the first 5 minutes. This will dry them out.

Then open the basket, spritz the chickpeas with oil, give a shake, and spritz them again. Sprinkle on nutritional yeast flakes, granulated onion, and a pinch of salt.

Return the basket to the air fryer and cook for the remaining 7 minutes.

Test a chickpea to see if it&#039;s done enough for you. Depending on your air fryer, the softness of your chickpeas, and your personal preferences, you may want to cook them an additional 3 to 5 minutes. If desired, add another pinch of salt before serving.

Whip up this quick and easy "feta" anytime you're craving a crumbly, salty, fresh topping for your salads, pizzas, and pastas!

Quick &amp; Easy "Feta" To Top Your Creations!

extra firm tofu (pressed)

apple cider vinegar

tbsp miso paste

tbsp parsley

tbsp nutritional yeast to deepen the flavour

If your tofu brand is not pre-pressed, press the excess water so that it will soak up more of the dressing. Use a tofu press or wrap the tofu in a clean dish towel and place something heavy on top for about 10 minutes.

Mix the dressing ingredients in a bowl. Taste and adjust to your liking. More vinegar for extra tartness, miso for savoury flavour, extra salt, or nutritional yeast for depth of flavour and a little cheesiness. 

Pour the dressing over the tofu and refrigerate in an air-tight container until ready to use. Refrigerate for 2 hours before using if possible. This allows time for the flavours to penetrate the tofu.

Keeps well for 2-3 days and easily crumbles for a crumbled quick and easy “feta”! Try it crumbled over our Pesto Pizza!
