Hawaiian pulled pork sliders are a delicious sweet &amp; spicy twist on classic pulled pork. It&#039;s a great way to use up leftover pulled pork.

Hawaiian Pulled Pork Sliders

pork butt

salt

black pepper

garlic powder

paprika

onion powder

cayenne pepper

brown sugar

pineapple juice

salted butter

sesame seeds

garlic

soy sauce

ginger

pulled pork

barbecue sauce

pineapple tidbits (drained)

Hawaiian dinner rolls

pepper jack cheese

cabbage

french onions onion

If you have leftover pulled pork in the fridge, you can skip slow cooking the pork and jump right to making the sliders.

Place pork in slow cooker. ***Place the pork in fatty side up to let the fat flavor drip into the meat.***

Cover pork with all dry ingredients.

Pour the pineapple juice around the pork.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the pork is shreddable.

Shred the pork and then make the sliders.

To prepare the pulled pork:

Preheat the oven to 350º Fahrenheit.

Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.

In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, seeds, garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce and ginger. Whisk well.

In a medium bowl, combine the pulled pork and barbecue sauce. Mix well. You can skip this step if it already has bbq sauce on it.

Use a large serrated knife to slice the rolls in half, separating the tops from the bottoms. Place the bottom of the rolls onto the prepared baking pan.

Brush a few tablespoons of the butter mixture onto the bottom of the rolls.

Layer the pulled pork over the rolls.

Sprinkle the pineapple tidbits over the pork.

Top with sliced pepper jack cheese

Place the tops of the rolls onto the sandwiches.

Brush the remaining butter mixture evenly over the rolls.

Cover the rolls loosely with foil.

Bake in the preheated oven until the rolls are lightly browned and the cheese has melted, about 20 minutes. Then uncover and bake another 3-5 minutes to brown.

Slice into individual slider sandwiches through the pork and cheese layers to serve.

Top with coleslaw, cabbage or french fried onions, if desired.

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Line a baking sheet or a 9x13&quot; baking dish with foil. Spray very lightly with cooking spray.

In a microwave safe large bowl, mix together the shredded chicken and barbecue sauce. (Use as much barbecue sauce as you&#39;d like...more or less!

Heat the chicken and bbq sauce mixture in the microwave if it is not warm. This will help the sandwiches heat through properly.

Evenly distribute BBQ chicken mixture over the rolls.

Top with the slices of cheese.

In a small bowl, mix together the butter, beef broth, thyme, and Parmesan cheese. Brush butter mixture over the rolls.

Bake in the preheated oven until the rolls are lightly browned and the cheese has melted, about 20 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for another  3-5 minutes.

Slice into individual rolls to serve. Serve warm.

I put sliced cheese on bottom 1/2 of rolls to prevent them from getting soggy. I use a light layer of shredded cheese on top of chicken. If your bbq chicken isn’t overly soaked in bbq you can count on a great slider that isn’t soggy.

Best is to use a cold rotisserie chicken!

Check out a recipe for poaching chicken. Since I've been doing that, my chicken is always so tender and easy to shred.

I think the crockpot is the best way to cook the chicken, but I was pressed for time, So I simmered it in water. Chicken broth would be good too. I just kept checking to see if it was tender and then I drained it and shredded it. Added Sweet Baby Ray's and caramelized onions. I used smoked provolone cheese. They were fantastic. I want to try the Asian sauce next time, It sounds yummy. Thanks for the recipe, we loved it.
