Slow Cooker Sloppy Joes are made with ground beef, a juicy, savory tomato-based sauce, and are super easy to make in a slow cooker! 

Slow Cooker Sloppy Joes

¼ teaspoon ground pepper

tomato sauce

ketchup

white vinegar

Tablespoons brown sugar

Tablespoons worcestershire sauce

hamburger buns

cheddar cheese

In a large frying pan cook the ground beef over medium heat, stirring to break into small chunks. Cook until no longer pink,  about 5-7 minutes.

Add in diced onion and sauté for another 2-3 minutes until onions are soft, then stir in garlic and onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Transfer ground beef mixture to slow cooker and add tomato sauce, ketchup, white vinegar, brown sugar, and worcestershire sauce.

Cook on low for 5 hours or high for 3 hours. Stir the mixture and serve beef spooned onto hamburger buns with a slice of cheddar cheese.

15 tomato sauce

Worcestershire sauce

diced bell pepper

Place the tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, ground mustard, salt, and pepper into a bowl.

Whisk the sauce until completely combined.

To make the sloppy joe meat, place ground beef in a large skillet. Break it up while cooking over medium heat. Once it starts to brown, drain off any excess grease and stir in diced onion and diced bell pepper. Stir another 2-3 minutes and then pour in the sloppy joe sauce.

Simmer the sauce for at least 5-10 minutes before serving.
