This Small Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe is adapted from our famous chocolate chip cookies (tastes just like them) and makes 8 cookies! The perfect recipe when you want to satisfy your sweet tooth but only want to make a small batch of cookies.

Small Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

salted butter

sugar

brown sugar

vanilla extract

all-purpose flour

baking soda

baking powder

sea salt

chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

In a small bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder and sea salt. Set aside.

In a medium bowl with a handheld mixer, beat together butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined.

Add vanilla and egg yolk and beat until light and fluffy.

Add dry ingredients and beat well. Dough should easily clump together.

Stir in chocolate chips by hand.

Use a 1 ½ to 2 TBS cookie scoop to portion dough, then roll it into balls and place evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 8-9 minutes or until set around the edges and just barely starting to turn light brown top. Do not overbake

Let cool on the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

I had to get you the props you deserve on these cookies, ma'am. I am a guy who had never ever made cookies and wanted to surprise my wife. That was months ago. I have never looked back and even eyeing different recipes, nothing compares to these cookies. So I think this is the BEST chocolate chip cookie recipe on the internet.
Not only for their taste which is amazing, are they the best, but the ingredients are easy- things people have around the cupboard; the ease to perfect is there. I love them.

absolutely the perfect recipe for small batches.

Made some with my eight year old son today (who followed all the instructions by himself, I only did the mixing and holding the bowl, so it is a very easy recipe!). I was really hesitant about pulling them out of the oven when they clearly didn't look done. But trust the process and they turned out absolutely amazing! In the words of my son 'these are the best cookies ever!'. Looks like this recipe will be the one and only from now on!

i never really review recipes on blogs, but omg omg omg! this recipe was perfection. for the first time in my entire baking life (which has been the last two weeks lol) my cookies aren’t so cakey and actually spread perfectly. miss girl you really ate that! and you are a lifesaver.

I like the recipe but it seems my dough is always too dry to clump at the end. Do you recommend adding anything to moisten the dough?
