I love this dipping sauce and have made it several times now. I use a mix of dark vinegar and rice vinegar, sub brown sugar, and use chili garlic paste sometimes and sriracha other times. Always a great pairing with XLB - or just to sprinkle over rice or vegetables.

A simple soy dipping sauce recipe that requires no cooking. It pairs nicely with pot stickers (dumplings), wontons, blanched vegetables and steamed/fried fish.

Simple No Cook Soy Dipping Sauce (Nuoc Cham Xi Dau)

rice wine vinegar

white sugar

all-purpose soy sauce

sesame oil

garlic powder

red Thai chili pepper (slice thin; optional)

together vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder and red chili pepper.

Serve

immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge.
