Fresh berries + classic chocolate chip cookies = the perfect deliciously fun summertime cookie!

Brown Butter Raspberry Chocolate Chip Cookies

(1 cup) salted butter

brown sugar

sugar

eggs

vanilla extract

all-purpose flour

baking soda

salt

chocolate

raspberries

1. Preheat the oven to 350° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.2. Add the butter to a skillet set over medium heat. Cook until the butter begins to brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the heat and transfer to a heatproof bowl. Let cool 5 minutes or so. 3. To the brown butter, mix in the brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla, mixing until smooth. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gently fold in the chocolate and raspberries, do not overmix.4. Roll the dough into rounded tablespoon size balls and place 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. The dough may be a little wet from the berries. Gently flatten the dough down. Bake 8 minutes. Remove from the oven, rotate and tap the baking sheet on the counter 1-2 times to flatten. Bake another 2-3 minutes or until the cookies are just beginning to set on the edges.5. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet. They will continue to cook slightly as they sit on the baking sheet. Sprinkle with flaky salt (if desired). Eat warm (highly recommended) or let cool and store in an airtight container for up to 4 days. 

Lightly sweetened buttery shortbread cookies hinted with lavender and lemon and decorated simply with edible flowers...pretty AND delicious!

Lily's Lavender Cookies

(1 cup) salted butter,

all purpose flour (plus more for rolling)

1. To make the lavender sugar. Add the lavender to a food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Add the sugar and lemon zest, pulse to combine. 2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, 1/2 cup lavender sugar, and the vanilla until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes. Add the flour and salt. Beat until combined, and the dough begins to form a ball. If the dough is crumbly, add 1-2 tablespoons milk or water until the dough comes together.3. Roll out the dough between 2 sheets of lightly floured parchment to 1/4 inch thickness. Make sure you&#039;re using enough flour or your dough will stick. Cut out the cookies using a 3 inch circle cookie cutter or cut into similar size squares. Carefully transfer the cookies to a parchment-lined baking sheet. I recommend using a spatula to lift the cookies. Cover the baking sheet with plastic wrap and place in the freezer. Freeze until firm, about 10 minutes. Roll out the leftover scraps, and repeat with the dough.4. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Brush each cookie with beaten egg white, then sprinkle with the remaining lavender sugar. If using edible flowers, gently push them into each cookie to adhere. Bake the cookies on the middle rack of the oven for 12-14 minutes or until just lightly golden on the edges. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire cooling rack to cool completely. Cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days.

These are the sweetest additions to a little girl's Birthday Party. They are wonderful and easy to make. My 2-year-old granddaughter had fun rolling them out and using the cookie cutters.

These were a really nice treat to make &amp; eat.  I had everything in my pantry and they came together very quickly.  The lemon was delightful and the hint of lavender (I used 2 tsp) was perfect. Thank you!

I felt so fancy making these, and my kitchen smelled divine! I followed a commenter’s suggestion to roll these into a log, freeze, and cut them. It was a lot easier but I definitely cut them too thick so I think that messed with both the baking time (20ish mins in a preheated oven) and the consistency (dry and crumbly). The fam liked them, but I was hoping the sugar would stand out a little more. Probably would if I had made them the correct thickness! I sprinkled extra lavender sugar on top when they came out of the oven. Still good, and I’d like to make them again the way the recipe is written to see if it corrects the problems I had.

I made these a few years ago prior to going gluten free for a skin issue. LOVED them!!! Would you have any suggestions for gluten free?

I thought these were going to be sweet, but instead, they are more savory.  That's a good thing, because everything at my office has been sweet lately.  I signed up to bring something for our month of holiday treats in the office, and these were perfect.  I wish the embossed rolling pin I purchased off Amazon rolled the design out a little deeper :(  The biscuits (as I'm calling them) are pretty, and are surprising in taste.
