I put my favorite salad inside a crusty loaf of ciabatta - DELICIOUS...you&#039;ll crave this sandwich all summer long!

The Italian Salad Sandwich

extra virgin olive oil

champagne vinegar

fig preserves honey

garlic, grated

thyme leaves

salt and chili flakes

ciabatta bread,

basil tomato pesto

pepperoncini

basil leaves

parmesan

red/orange peppers, sliced

spicy salami

prosciutto

pepperoni

provolone cheese

cheese

baby arugula

1. To make the dressing. Combine all ingredients in a glass jar and whisk until smooth. Taste and adjust the salt and chili flakes 2. Preheat the grill or grill pan to high. Rub each half of the bread with some dressing. Grill the bread, cut side down, for 3-5 minutes or until grill marks appear. 3. Spread the pesto over the bottom piece of bread. In the following order, layer the pepperoncini, basil, parmesan, and sliced peppers. Drizzle with the dressing. Layer the prosciutto, salami, pepperoni, and cheese slices. Add the arugula and toss with the dressing. Add the top piece of ciabatta. Push down on the sandwich. 4. Cut into 6 sandwiches. You can also wrap the uncut sandwich tightly and place it in the fridge for up to 1 day before serving.

Went right home and made these for dinner. Delicious!!

Just made this for a picnic today! Sneaked a bite and YUM. Great idea and so delicious. The arugula in the dressing puts it over the top.

Brighten your day with this Strawberry Sando (Japanese Fruit Sandwich), made with fluffy milk bread packed with sweet whipped cream and fresh strawberries. This decadent sandwich is so easy to make, requires only 4 ingredients, and the ultimate treat to indulge in for breakfast or dessert! 

Strawberry Sando (Japanese Fruit Sandwich)

strawberries (more or less depending on the size of the bread)

(240 milliliters) heavy whipping cream

tbsp white sugar

milk bread

Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer, whip the heavy cream and sugar on high speed until medium peaks form, about 3-4 minutes. ⁣

Spread a generous amount of whipped cream, top with hulled strawberries, then finish off by spreading whipped cream on top and the sides, ensuring there are no empty spots.

Wrap the sandwich tightly in plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. 

Carefully remove the sandwich from the plastic wrap, and cut the crusts off (optional). Slice into 4 equal portions and enjoy!
