Grilled Steak &amp; Shrimp (SURF AND TURF) slathered in garlic butter makes for the BEST steak recipe! A gourmet steak dinner that tastes like something out of a restaurant, ready and on the table in less than 15 minutes.

Garlic Butter Grilled Steak &Amp; Shrimp

unsalted butter, (divided)

garlic, ((or 1 tablespoon minced garlic))

parsley, (chopped)

olive oil

New York Steak strip steaks ((Porterhouse steaks))

Salt and pepper

(250 g) shrimp (deveined, tails

Garlic Butter Grilled Steak &amp; Shrimp

Mix together butter, garlic and fresh chopped parsley. Refrigerate until&nbsp;ready&nbsp;to use.

Heat a large grill over high heat. Lightly grease grill plates with oil.&nbsp;Pat steaks dry with paper towel. Brush lightly with oil and generously season with salt and pepper.

Grill steaks for 4-5 minutes each side until browned and cooked to desired doneness.&nbsp;Spread half of the butter all over of steaks.&nbsp;Transfer steaks to a warm plate and let&nbsp;rest&nbsp;for 5&nbsp;minutes.

While steaks are resting, melt remaining butter. Season shrimp with salt and pepper.&nbsp;

Reduce heat to medium and grill your shrimp for 5-6 minutes, depending not the size and thickness of your shrimp. Flip each one halfway through cook time and continue cooking until they turn nice and pink in colour while white and opaque on the inside.

Toss remaining butter through shrimp and serve with steak!

New York strip steak, cut in half

lobster tails (in the shell)

Ritz crackers, crushed

lemon

garlic, 2 whole, 1 minced

butter, divided

rosemary

fresh parsley, minced

Steak and Lobster Tails: Surf and Turf for Two

Remove the steak from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking, this is to bring the steak to room temperature and ensure your cooking times are more accurate.

Using kitchen shears (scissors), cut the tails down the center, through the end of the tail, on both the underside and top of the shell. Use a knife to slice the lobster meat in half, separating into two equal halves. (keeping lobster in the shell). Set aside.

Combine 2 tablespoons melted butter, juice from half a lemon, garlic, and parsley in a small bowl. Stir until combined. Set aside. Combine Parmesan cheese and Ritz crackers in a Ziploc bag and crush until crackers are finely crushed.

Season lobster tails with salt and pepper. Liberally baste the flesh side of each lobster tail with melted garlic herb butter and place on a baking sheet flesh side up. Sprinkle tails liberally with crushed Ritz mix and set aside.

Cut the strip steak in half widthwise, season both sides generously with salt and pepper, and set aside.

Add other 2 tablespoons of butter to an oven safe cast iron skillet and turn up high, allow the skillet to become very hot first. At this time, add the lobster tails to the oven and bake for 15 minutes.

Place the strip steaks face down and sear undisturbed for 2 minutes. Flip the steaks and sear for an additional 2 minutes. This will give your steak a nice seared edge.

Add a clove of garlic and a sprig of fresh rosemary and immediately transfer your skillet directly to the oven. [WARNING] skillet may be hot, handle with oven mitts. For rare, bake for 4-5 minutes. Medium rare, 5-6 minutes. Medium, 6-7 minutes. Remember, depending on the size of the steak, the more or less time it will take. This recipe is ideal for a 12-14 ounce strip steak.

Remove steaks from the oven. Using a spoon, drizzle the pan drippings from the skillet over each steak. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. After 5 minutes, your lobster tail should be ready. Serve each steak portion with 2 halves of lobster tails. Garnish each steak with a clove of roasted garlic and a portion of rosemary if desired.

The Ultimate Surf and Turf (Steak and Shrimp) Recipe

lb Shrimp (I used 16/20)

1.5 tbsp Olive Oil

Shallot (sliced thinly)

Garlic (minced)

Pinot Grigio (or No Sugar Added Chicken Broth)

tbsp Butter

Lemon

tsp Natural Ancient Sea Salt

Black Pepper

tsp Red Pepper Flakes (or more to taste)

parsley (chopped)

oz Filet Mignon Steaks (I had 2 steaks that were 6 oz each)

tbsp Olive Oil

Rosemary Sprigs

Cast Iron Skillet

Heat a medium skillet to medium heat

Add olive oil, shallots and garlic to a pan and cook until translucent (~3 minutes)

Add Pinot Grigio, salted butter, and lemon juice to the pan and allow to reduce by half (~5)

Add parsley, red pepper flakes, sea salt, and black pepper and stir.&nbsp;

Add in the shrimp and cook until pink (~3 minutes). Remove the pan from the heat.

Keto Shrimp Scampi (Surf)

Remove your steaks from the refrigerator about 30 minutes prior to cooking. This will allow them to cook evenly.&nbsp;

Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees

Pre-heat a cast iron skillet for 5-10 minutes on medium-high heat. You'll know that the pan is ready when you place a droplet of water into it and it quickly "dances" around the pan

Season both sides of the steaks with the salt and pepper

Add the olive oil to the cast iron pan. It should heat in less than a minute. You can tell that the oil is heated by stepping back away from the stove and looking for a light rising smoke above the pan.&nbsp;

Add the steaks &amp; rosemary sprigs to the center of the cast iron pan. I placed my steaks next to each other and simply laid the rosemary in the small space in the middle.&nbsp;

Set a timer &amp; sear the steaks for 2 minutes per side

Add a tbsp of butter to the top of each steak.&nbsp;Place the cast iron pan with the steaks, rosemary, and butter into the oven

Cook the steaks until it reaches your desired level of doneness (see the post notes). Mine took 5 minutes.&nbsp;

Remove the cast iron pan from the oven and place the steaks on a plate.&nbsp;Lightly cover the plate with the steaks with foil and allow the meat to rest for 5 minutes

Plate the steaks when you are ready to eat and top them with the shrimp scampi.&nbsp;
