These taco sliders are sandwiches stuffed with taco meat and cheese, then brushed with garlic butter and baked to perfection. Serve with salsa and guacamole for a party snack that will earn rave reviews.

Taco Sliders

olive oil

onion (finely diced)

beef (I use 90% lean)

taco seasoning

tomato sauce

cheddar cheese

butter (melted)

garlic powder

cilantro

Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 3-4 minutes or until translucent.

Add the ground beef to the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes, breaking up the meat into small pieces with a spatula.

Add the taco seasoning and tomato sauce, then bring to a simmer.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Slice the rolls in half and place the bottom half of the rolls on a sheet pan.

Bake for 5 minutes or until bread is lightly toasted.

Spoon the meat over the bottom of the rolls, then layer the cheese on top.&nbsp;

Place the top buns over the cheese layer.

Mix the butter and garlic powder and brush the mixture over the tops of the rolls.&nbsp;

Bake for 10 minutes or until the rolls are browned and the cheese is melted.

Sprinkle with cilantro and serve with guacamole and salsa if desired.

Beef

pkg Taco Seasoning (or 2 Tablespoons Homemade Seasoning)

Salsa

White Onion (finely diced)

Hawaiian Rolls (or Slider Rolls)

Shredded Mexican Style Cheese

Tablespoons Butter (melted)

Garlic Salt

Tablespoons Chopped Cilantro

Optional Toppings: Salsa (Guacamole, Lettuce, Tomatoes, etc)

Add the ground beef and diced onions to a large skillet and heat over medium high heat.  Brown the beef and onions, breaking up the meat into small pieces until the onions are translucent and beef is cooked through (5-7 minutes).

Add in the taco seasoning and the salsa and bring the mixture to a low boil.

Then remove the pan from the heat.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and spray a 9X13 baking pan with a non-stick cooking spray.

Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise and place the bottom of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.  Spread the beef mixture over the bottom of the rolls and top with the shredded cheese.  The top with the other half of the rolls.

Stir together the melted butter and garlic salt.  Brush this mixture over the top of the rolls.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes.  Then remove the foil and bake for 2-5 minutes to brown the top of the Hawaiian rolls.

Remove from the oven and top with the chopped cilantro.  Let them cool slightly.  Then serve warm with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
