Tequila Sunrise

(4 tablespoons) tequila

(1/2 cup) orange juice

(1 1/2 tablespoons) grenadine syrup (purchased

Ice (try our clear ice!)

For the garnish: Cocktail cherry, orange juice

Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour in the tequila and orange juice and stir.

Pour the grenadine into center of the drink and it will sink to the bottom. Stir gently for sunrise gradient effect.

Garnish with an orange slice and cocktail cherry.

Orange slices

Maraschino cherry

Pour tequila and orange juice in a tall glass. Scale up recipe as required for your glass side (1 part tequila to 3 parts OJ)!

Mix, then fill with ice.

Drizzle grenadine down the side of the glass over the back of a teaspoon (see video). Do not mix!

Garnish with orange slice and Maraschino cherry. Serve immediately!

Pour grenadine down a spoon and let it rise from the bottom of the glass. Do not stir. Top with seltzer water (if using) and garnish with the orange slice and maraschino cherry.

Combine the tequila and orange juice with ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake to combine.

Fill a cocktail glass with ice. Pour the orange juice and tequila over the ice.

Slowly pour the cherry juice or grenadine into the cocktail. Then top off with cherries.

Master the art of a classic tequila sunrise, with grenadine, tequila, triple sec, orange juice – and of course a cocktail cherry and umbrella as garnish

Pour the grenadine into the base of a tall glass and set aside. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the tequila, triple sec and fruit juices. Shake until the outside of the shaker feels cold.

Add a few ice cubes to the serving glass then carefully double strain the cocktail into it, trying not to disturb the grenadine layer too much. Add more ice if needed to fill the glass then garnish with a cherry on a stick or cocktail umbrella.

Tequila sunrise is refreshing and is made from orange juice, tequila, and some grenadine. Once you stir it, you get a beautiful sunrise look.

Um den Zitronensaft auszupressen kann man den Deckel der Tequila Flasche verwenden. Der Sombrero ist zugleich eine Zitronenpresse

Okay. Vielen Dank für den Hinweis den Sombrero-Deckel als Zitronenpresse zu verwenden. Habe ich bisher noch nicht dazu verwendet.

Haben Lust bekommen und werden uns nun diesen Cocktail zubereiten für mich und meine beiden Freundinnen. 

Den Shaker mit 5 Eiswürfeln füllen, dann Tequila, Zitronensaft und den Orangensaft hinzufügen und ca. 15 Sek. kräftig schütteln.

In ein Longdrinkglas etwas Crushed Ice geben und den Drink über ein Barsieb abgießen.

Nun den Grenadinesirup vorsichtig über einen Löffelrücken in das Glas gießen.

Nicht umrühren, warten bis der Sirup auf dem Glasboden ist und anschließend mit Trinkhalm und einer Orangenscheibe sowie Cocktailkirsche servieren.

Fill a tall glass with ice (Highball or Collins glass)

Pour in orange juice and tequila.  Stir to combine. Using a small spoon pour grenadine down the inside of the glass giving it a minute to settle on the bottom. If it completely settles on the bottom gently and slowly stir just once right before serving.

Garnish with orange slices and cherries.
