Texas Trash Dip (Easy Mexican Bean Dip)

cream cheese

sour cream

beans

(4.5-ounce) can chopped green chiles, drained

(1.25-ounce) package taco seasoning

shredded Mexican blend cheese, divided

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175°C) and spray a 13 x 9-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Add the cream cheese and sour cream to a large microwave-safe bowl. Then, cook for 1 minute on high or until the cream cheese is soft.

Mix the cream cheese and sour cream thoroughly with a whisk until it's a smooth and uniform consistency.

Add the refried beans, green chiles, seasoning mix, and two cups of the Mexican blend cheese. Stir until everything is well mixed.

Spread the mixture over the baking dish, and be sure to make it flat. Then, add the rest of the Mexican blend cheese on top.

Bake for 25 minutes or until the cheese on top is melted.

Serve with your choice of tortilla chips, Fritos, fresh veggies, etc. Enjoy!

Follow steps 2, 3, and 4 from the recipe above.

Spray the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.

Add the mixture to the slow cooker, followed by the remaining Mexican cheese blend on top.

Cover the slow cooker and cook the dip for 3 to 4 hours on low.

The dip is ready when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (75°C).

Sometimes I can do things a little backwards, I tried a Texas Trash Dip at a party I went to and I was instantly obsessed! So, instead of coming home and making Texas Trash Dip for you, I decided to develop a Texas Trash Chicken Dinner recipe. My Texas Trash Chicken recipe went super viral on every platform including Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, and it&#39;s held the number one spot on my website for quite some time! So now I decided why not make the texas trash dip recipe, because it was the reason for the season. I made my Texas Trash Dip a little different than most people do and in my humble opinion it&#39;s the very best version! It&#39;s super simple to make and once you make this dip you&#39;ll be questioning yourself saying “how did this dip get its name”? Because this dip is classy not trashy! Let&#39;s make it!

Texas Trash Dip

oz cream cheese softened (softened)

31 oz can refried beans

tbsp taco seasoning

oz mild diced green chilis

oz freshly shredded colby jack

oz cheddar cheese

For garnish: pico de gallo and queso fresco

In a large bowl add in softened cream cheese and sour cream. Mix that together until combined and creamy. If your cream cheese isn't soft enough, blend that together using an electric mixer just until combined. Next, add in the refried beans and mix that together until fully combined. Then, sprinkle in the taco seasoning and mix that together until combined.

Now, add in the diced green chilis and the freshly shredded colby jack. Then, pour in 5 oz of the enchilada sauce and stir everything together.

Grease a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray and evenly pour that creamy mixture into the baking dish. Take the remaining 5 oz of enchilada sauce and drizzle it evenly all over the top of that creamy mixture. Lastly, evenly sprinkle over the freshly shredded cheddar cheese to cover the top.

Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes on the middle rack. Once it's done let it cool and set up for about 15 minutes before serving. Garnish with pico de gallo and queso fresco. Enjoy!

Less trashy and more classy… Texas Trash Dip! #texastrashdip

So I was planning out my recipes for the week and I was dreaming about Texas Trash Dip. You may or may not know this about me but I am 100,000% obsessed with Taco Bell bean burritos. It has always been my order and forever will be my order until either Taco Bell or myself ceases to exist. As I was meal planning and intermittent fasting I was starving and I came up with the best dinner of all time...of all time you ask? Yes. Of all time! There will be no better way to make chicken breasts from here on out once you make this dinner it is called Texas Trash Chicken and it has all of your favorite flavors from Texas Trash Dip in a full meal! Added bonus; it’s as easy as running through a Taco Bell drive-through! Your entire prep time will be no longer than 15 minutes and dinner will be served in 30 minutes after that. Now grab your apron and lets make it!

Texas Trash Chicken

chicken breasts

+ 1 tbsp enchilada sauce (divided)

refried beans

oz cream cheese (softened)

onions

green chilis

oz freshly shredded colby jack (divided)

red onion (chopped)

Rice,

Pat your chicken dry of any moisture and allow to come to room temperature. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with a ½ tbsp of taco seasoning total.

In a 9x13 baking dish, pour 1 cup of enchilada sauce in an even layer. Next, using a ice cream scoop or spoon add about 12 dollops (14 oz) of the refried beans over the enchilada sauce. Then place the three seasoned chicken breasts spaced out over the refried bean dollups.

In a bowl, add in softened cream cheese, 1 tbsp taco seasoning, the whites of the chopped green onions, green chilis, 1 tbsp enchilada sauce, and 1 oz of the freshly shredded colby jack. Mix that together until fully combined.

Divide the cream cheese mixture evenly over the three pieces of chicken and smooth it out to cover the entire piece. Sprinkle the chopped red onions around the chicken. Then, sprinkle the rest of the freshly shredded colby jack over the top of the chicken to cover the top.

To garnish, shake a tiny bit of taco seasoning over the cheese and sprinkle over the greens of the chopped green onions.

Place that in the oven and bake at 400°F for 30 minutes.

Serve with rice and garnish with the sauce from the pan and some more green onions.

Needs to bake longer than 30 minutes.  And I used thin sliced chicken breasts and still needed to bake longer.  The flavors together are very tasty!
