Mini Tiramisu Trifles with a layer of mascarpone cheese, ladyfingers and espresso! A delicious, easy &amp; fun way to enjoy tiramisu &amp; trifle at the same time!

Mini Tiramisu Trifles

oz (565 grams) mascarpone cheese

tbsp (39 grams) sugar

(240 milliliters) heavy whipping cream, cold

(58 grams) powdered sugar

tsp vanilla extract

(180 milliliters) hot water

tbsp (45 milliliters) instant espresso powder

lady fingers*

(120 milliliters) heavy whipping cream

(29 grams) powdered sugar

tbsp (30 milliliters) kahlua

Mix mascarpone cheese and sugar together until combined. Do not over mix or the mascarpone cheese can thin out. Set aside.

2. In another bowl, add the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract and whip until stiff peaks form.

3. Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone cheese mixture. Set aside.

4. In another bowl, combine the hot water, espresso powder and sugar.

5. To layer the trifles, dip the ladyfingers into the espresso mixture one at a time and place into the bottom of the trifle cup. Use two to three ladyfingers and break into pieces as needed so they fit in the cup and create a full layer.

6. Pipe or spoon a layer of mascarpone filling on top of the ladyfingers.

7. Repeat another layer of ladyfingers and mascarpone filling.

8. After completing the trifles, make the whipped cream.

9. Add the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar and kahlua to a large mixer bowl and whip until stiff peaks form.

10. Pipe a swirl of whipped cream on top of each trifle, then sprinkle with cocoa powder, if desired.

11. Refrigerate trifles until ready to serve. Trifles are best for 2-3 days.


* I used the softer more cake-like ladyfingers in these trifles, as opposed to the more traditional hard ladyfingers.

Recipe (10- 14 servings)
22 -24 ladyfingers biscuits (Italian Savoiardi)
3/8 cup (85 g) of Turbinado Sugar also known as raw cane sugar (Turbinado sugar has a delicate caramel flavor and fits perfectly this dessert).
1 cup and 2 tablespoons (250 g) of mascarpone cheese (cold)
1 and 1/4 cup (300 ml) of Heavy whipping cream (chilled)
1 cup and 1/4 cup (300 ml) of strong coffee (cold)
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
Unsweetened Cocoa powder for dusting
Directions (watch the video instructions first)
Prepare the espresso coffee and set aside.
Begin the mascarpone cream: In a medium bowl beat the mascarpone with 3 tablespoons of the heavy whipping cream until smooth.
Whip the cream with the vanilla extract and turbinado sugar till soft peaks. Add mascarpone cream and combine while continuing whisking. Chill.
Prepare 8 inches (20 cm) springform pan (Grease the tin then press the parchment paper around the sides).
Quickly dip the ladyfingers into the cold/room temperature coffee.
Create a firm (no empty space) layer with the dipped ladyfingers in the tin, you will need to cut some biscuits to fit the springform pan.
Spread half of the mascarpone cream evenly over the bottom layer of ladyfingers. An offset spatula helps spread it evenly.
Repeat the process for the second layer (dipped ladyfinger and the remaining mascarpone cream) and try to get a solid layer. Flat nicely the cream on top with an offset spatula.
Move into the fridge for 3 hours (uncovered). If you serve the day after cover with plastic wrap overnight and dust with unsweetened cocoa powder just before serving. From our experience, Tiramisu is always better chill overnight and serve the day after.

How To Make Tiramisu In 10 Minutes | Easy Alcohol-free Tiramisu | Fuzz & Buzz

This Tiramisu from scratch features homemade airy ladyfingers that are layered in between light mascarpone cream, rich espresso, and a touch of cocoa finish. Dolce vita! You absolutely have to make this recipe, no excuse!

Homemade Tiramisu from scratch

Eggs (white and yolk separately)

g Granulated sugar

Pastry flour

g Corn starch

Egg yolk

70 g Granulated sugar

Mascarpone

200 g Heavy Cream

Coffee (strong espresso to soak the ladyfingers in)

Cocoa powder (Unsweetened Dutch processed to decorate the top)

Heat oven to 200 C / 392°F

Beat 4 egg yolks with half of the sugar (50g) until pale and fluffy and sugar fully dissolves, ideally in a Stand mixer so it will get fully whipped

Using your Stand mixer make the meringue. Whip egg whites with the other half of the sugar, adding the sugar in a small amount at a time. Whip for about 5 minutes just until shiny stiff peaks.

While making the meringue, sift flour and corn starch into the egg yolk and fold carefully with Rubber spatula just until combined. The mixture will become thick, that is normal

When the meringue is ready, mix ¼ of it with flour egg yolk mixture to loosen it up then fold in the rest of the meringue very carefully using a rubber spatula

Get your piping bag with a round nozzle tip and pipe 20 equal sized finger shapes leaving enough space in between them.

Bake for 10 minutes. After baking, let them cool on Cooling rack

Start with ladyfingers

Whip egg yolk with sugar with the help of a hand whisk over a double boiler until sugar fully dissolves. It will take about 5 minutes but greatly depends on the size of your bowl as well as temperature of the mixture while over simmering water, it is recommended to do it slowly over low heat

Cool egg yolk sugar mixture to room temperature then carefully whip room temperature mascarpone with an Electric hand mixer. Do not over beat as it can get runny easily. Carefully fold it into the egg yolk mixture with a Rubber spatula

In a separate bowl whip very cold heavy cream starting slowly then increasing speed on your Electric hand mixer until stiff peaks (but do not over whip) and carefully with a help of a rubber spatula fold it into the mascarpone egg yolk mixture. At this point, the cream should be airy and fluffy and it will further set in the fridge

Continue with mascarpone cream

You can either make 6 small bowls of tiramisu or one or two larger ones. Soak lady fingers into freshly prepared espresso and place them next to each other on the bottom of the bowl.

Spread an even layer of cream on the ladyfingers then place another layer of coffee soaked ladyfinger on top then cream again. Smooth the top

Refrigerate tiramisu for a minimum of 4 hours to set

After tiramisu sets in the fridge, dust with cocoa powder

Store in the fridge for 2-3 days

Assembling

Italian tiramisu is an ever-popular dessert that&#039;s been knocking around for decades. A splash of Amaretto and orange play nicely with the strong coffee flavour in this version. It&#039;s a no-bake and no-cook recipe that can be assembled in less than 30 minutes.

Italian Tiramisu with Amaretto and Orange

eggs (free-range (or 2 large))

tbsp Caster sugar

250 g Mascarpone cheese (full-fat)

125 ml Espresso coffee (see notes)

Orange (zest and 4 tsp juice)

tbsp Amaretto liqueur (good quality)

packet will be plenty)

Cocoa powder

tbsp Chocolate (grated)

Lay out enough ladyfingers in the bottom of the serving dish to cover the base entirely, chopping any up as necessary. Set aside the same amount of ladyfingers (chopped as required) for the second layer. Remove from the dish and set aside

Whip the egg whites until fluffy

Use the same beaters to whip the egg yolks and sugar until very thick, creamy and pale - around 3-4 minutes. They are whipped sufficiently when a trail remains for a few seconds after the mixture falls off the whisk (this is the ribbon stage)

Stir the orange zest through

Stir the mascrapone to loosen it, then add to the egg yolk mixture and beat in until just combined (either by hand or using electric beater on a low speed). Take care not to overbeat as the mascarpone could curdle. If using electric beaters, try beating in 15 second bursts to ensure is is beaten just sufficiently

Gently fold the whipped egg white in using a large metal spoon

Mix the coffee, amaretto and orange juice together in a shallow bowl then dip a ladyfinger into the coffee then flip over to coat the other side (dip for around 4 seconds in total)

Place the ladyfinger in the base of your serving bowl. Continue with more ladyfingers until the base is covered

Top with half of the mascarpone mixture

Add another layer of ladyfingers, dipping them in the coffee mixture as before

Spoon the remaining mascarpone mix over the top, smooth it out, cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours but preferably overnight

When ready to serve dredge in sifted cocoa powder and (optional) grated chocolate

This Tiramisu Cheesecake is a super easy no-bake recipe and tastes just like tiramisu cake! The combination of espresso, Kahlua and mascarpone cheese is to die for!

Tiramisu Cheesecake

(167 grams) vanilla wafer crumbs

(56 grams) salted butter, melted

tbsp (20 grams) sugar

oz (226 grams) cream cheese, room temperature

oz (452) mascarpone cheese, room temperature

(52 grams) sugar

tbsp (45 milliliters) warm water

tbsp (30 milliliters) instant espresso powder

(240 milliliters) Kahlua

ladyfingers

(60 milliliters) Kahlua mixture (remaining from above), cold

tbsp (73 grams) powdered sugar

Cocoa, optional

Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper in the bottom and grease the sides.

. Mix together the crust ingredients until well combined and press the mixture into the bottom of the springform pan.

. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool.
FILLING

p id=&#8221;instruction-step-5&#8243;>1. To make the filling, mix the cream cheese, mascarpone cheese and sugar together on medium-low speed until combined. Do not mix on high speed or overmix or the mascarpone cheese can begin to separate. Set aside.

. In another mixing bowl, add the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Whip on high speed until stiff peaks form.

. Slowly fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone cheese mixture. Set aside.

. Combine the warm water and espresso powder for the Kahlua mixture in a small bowl. Add the Kahlua and stir to combine.

. Dip the ladyfingers into the Kahlua mixture one at a time, then add to the springform pan, on top of the crust.

. Spread the mascarpone cheese mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.

. Set the cheesecake in the refrigerator to chill and firm, 5-6 hours or overnight. Set remaining Kahlua mixture in the fridge for later.

. When the cheesecake is firm, make the Kahlua whipped cream. Add the heavy whipping cream, 1/4 cup of the remaining Kahlua mixture and powdered sugar to a large mixer bowl. Whip on high speed until stiff peaks form.

. Carefully remove the cheesecake from the springform pan and use an offset spatula to smooth the sides, if needed.

0. Add the Kahlua whipped cream to the top of the cheesecake. You can simply spread it on top or pipe it in a similar pattern as I did. I used the Ateco 844 tip.

1. Sprinkle a little cocoa over the top of the cheesecake, if desired.

2. Refrigerate the cheesecake until ready to serve.

I made this for a friend of a friend’s birthday 2 weeks ago. I made homemade lady fingers.  She said it was “the best dessert I’ve ever eaten!”
