This big-batch sheet pan dinner has it all: saucy chicken, caramelized vegetables, and a pantry-friendly sauce everyone will love. Plus, it makes intentional leftovers for rolling over into another weeknight meal.

Saucy Sheet Pan Chicken with Sweet Potatoes and Peppers

sweet potatoes

red peppers

red onion

olive oil

kosher salt, divided

bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

chicken breasts

ketchup

Worcestershire sauce

tamari or soy sauce

sugar

Arrange a rack in the middle of the oven and heat the oven to 425ºF. 

Prepare the following, placing them all in a large bowl: Peel and slice 2 large sweet potatoes into 1/4-inch thick rounds, thinly slice 2 large red bell peppers, and thinely slice 1 large red onion. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon of the kosher salt, and toss to combine. Transfer to a rimmed baking sheet and spread into an even layer. 

Pat 2 pounds chicken thighs and 1 pound chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season all over with the remaining 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt. Arrange the chicken pieces on top of the vegetables, placing the breasts in the middle and the thighs on the edges. Roast for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, make the sauce.

Place 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons tamari or soy sauce, and 2 teaspoons granulated sugar in a small bowl and stir to combine.

Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Top each piece of chicken with 2 to 3 tablespoons of the sauce. Roast until the vegetables are beginning to brown and the chicken is cooked through, 15 to 20 minutes more.

Reserve 1/4 cup sauce, about 2 cups roasted vegetables, and 1 to 2 pieces chicken for the Roll Over Dinner. Serve the remaining chicken and vegetables with the remaining sauce.

tbsp white sesame seeds (sub tahini)

soy sauce

tomato sauce / ketchup

mustard

Dry roast white sesame seeds over low heat for a few minutes, continuously moving around the pan until they turn a nice golden brown.

Transfer to suribachi or mortar and pestle and grind finely.

In a small bowl, add the ground sesame seeds, soy sauce, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, and optional hot mustard.

Easy Tonkatsu Sauce - Restaurant Style [with Toasted Sesame Seeds!]

Tofu Katsu Sando. A delicious, crispy panko breaded fried tofu sandwiched between two pieces of milk bread with a sweet tonkatsu sauce. Easy to make at home and ready in just 30 minutes!

Easy Tofu Katsu Sando (30-min. Recipe)

extra firm tofu (sliced into 6 pieces at 0.5 inches thick)

panko breadcrumbs

cornstarch

Garlic powder

Salt

egg (whisked)

avocado oil

tbsp Tonkatsu Sauce

milk bread (or fluffy egg bread works too)

Tbsp ketchup

1½ tsp oyster sauce

1⅛ tsp white granulated sugar

Slice your tofu into 6 equal slices at about 0.5-inches thick. Pat each piece dry with a clean paper towel. Generously season with garlic powder and salt. Add more if needed.

First coat your tofu in cornstarch well making sure every spot is covered.  Then coat in the whisked egg and finally in panko breadcrumbs.

In a hot pan set over medium heat, add avocado oil. Test to see if the oil is hot enough by checking for bubbles. Once it’s hot, carefully lower your coated tofu in.

Fry on all sides (don't worry too much about the ends) until golden crispy brown. Transfer cooked pieces to a cooling rack or a plate with paper towel.

Place 2 pieces of tofu onto a slice of bread.

Drizzle a generous amount of store bought tonkatsu sauce over tofu. Optional: If you’re making homemade tonkatsu sauce, in a small bowl whisk the ingredients together and you will have your sauce! This is also where you can add some shredded cabbage on top.

Place the other slice of bread on top. Place a weighted plate on top of them to flatten them. Cut off the crusts and slice sandos into thirds with a sharp knife. Repeat for other two remaining sandwiches. Enjoy!

4-Ingredient Tonkatsu Sauce

tbsp worcestershire sauce

oyster sauce (or soy sauce)

tbsp sugar (or brown sugar)

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, adjusting the serving size if needed. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 month in the fridge. Enjoy!

Quick Crispy Tonkatsu - Japanese Fried Pork Cutlet

pork cutlets (also known as pork loin steaks)

panko bread crumbs

tbsp plain flour / all purpose flour

flour potato starch

vegetable oil

Salt and pepper (to taste)

Flatten

Place the pork cutlets between two layers of baking paper, and pound with a rolling pin to flatten. You want an even thickness, around 1 cm / ½ in thick.

Prep

Get out three plates. Place the plain flour and cornstarch on the first plate and mix. Crack the egg onto the second plate and lightly beat. Pour the panko bread crumbs, 1 tbsp of vegetable oil and optional salt and pepper onto the third plate, and roughly mix together.

Coat

Pick up a pork cutlet and coat with the flour mix first, then dip into egg and finally, coat with the panko crumbs. Make sure all areas are covered well.

Air-Fry

Set your air fryer at 180°C / 360°F. Add in your crumbed pork, then drizzle another 1 tbsp of oil over the top.

Cook for 12 minutes, then flip over. Oil this side with the final 1 tbsp of oil and cook for a further 12 minutes.

Crank the heat up to 200°C / 400°F and cook for a final 3 minutes or until golden brown.

Note: Cooking times may vary between brands, this was cooked in the Ninja Foodi

Slice while hot with a large knife and serve with tonkatsu sauce and veggies or in katsu curry.

This easy, 3-ingredient tonkatsu (katsu) sauce is full of flavor and ready in just 1 minute! Ketchup, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce are all you need for a flavorful katsu sauce that&#39;s a delicious copycat of Bulldog Tonkatsu sauce, also known as Bull-Dog sauce.

3-Ingredient Tonkatsu (Katsu) Sauce

Mix ingredients together

Mix the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce together. Taste and add sugar to your liking. Serve and enjoy!Note: For a Bull-dog sauce copycat, I recommend starting with less sugar and adding garlic and onion powder for more flavor.

Tonkatsu (deep fried pork)

pork loin chops (about 1" thick, no bones)

salt

tsp pepper

all purpose flour

panko or bread crumbs

Tonkatsu Sauce

Make small cuts all over the pork chops with the tip of a knife.  Pound the meat with a meat tenderizer.  Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the meat.

Coat the meat with flour, dip in egg, and then cover with bread crumbs.

Heat deep frying oil to 350 F, and deep fry the crumb-covered meat. You can check the temperature by dropping a bread crumb in the oil. If it comes up to the oil surface right after it&#39;s dropped, it&#39;s ready.

Fry until the color turns golden brown and the meat floats in the oil, about 5-8 minutes, turning once or twice.

Set the meat on a cooling rack for a minute.  Cut into 5-6 pieces.  Drizzle Tonkatsu Sauce over if you like.

Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat.

Blend until smooth with an immersion blender or in a blender.

Serve with tonkatsu, chicken nuggets, or Cracklin’ Chicken.
