How to make a beautiful Crudite Platter with vegetables and dips. I am sharing my favorite veggie dip recipes, what vegetables to put on a veggie tray, and how to arrange one. It is so easy to make a stunning vegetable platter!

Crudite Platter (Veggie Tray with Dips)

Cucumbers

Peppers

Rainbow Radishes

Grape Tomatoes

Ranch Dip

Cold Spinach Dip

Start by choosing your tray. Do you want to use a large wood board? A glass tray? You can use a round, a square, a rectangular, or any type of tray you want. You will want to know the size of your tray so you know how many vegetables to buy.

Buy your vegetables. Focus on a variety of colors and textures. I look to use as many colors in the rainbow as possible.

Make your dips. I love to use all different types of dips that pair perfectly with vegetables. A ranch dip is thicker than ranch dressing and is usually made with sour cream and ranch dressing powder. This pairs wonderfully with all vegetables. One of my favorite dips to put on my crudite platter is my popular spinach dip recipe. I get asked for this recipe all of the time! You can also add a traditional hummus with pairs well with carrots, peppers, and cucumbers.

First, put your veggie dips into bowls and place them on the tray. Arrange your vegetables around the dips and try to space out the different colors of vegetables.

Cover and chill until you are ready to serve.

Start with green vegetables for the base and made the general shape of a Christmas tree. I used broccoli but sugar snap peas work well too.

Add olives and grape tomatoes on top for ornaments.

Slice bell pepper for garland.

Put baby carrots surrounding the tree for some additional color.

Serve ranch dressing in a hallowed out bell pepper.

It came out great.  I would have liked to have known the diameter of the plate she used, though.  The largest I had was 17" but it seemed hers was larger.  I also used sliced cucumbers instead of snow peas.

Wash, peel (optional), and cut your vegetables to size. I keep them bite-sized for easy snacking.

Choose your tray or platter. A large cutting board, wooden cheese board, or a simple sheet pan works great.

Make your dips and pour them into smaller bowls or ramekins.Place the dips on the serving platter. These are the anchor points for the veggie tray.

Start with your larger vegetables and place them on the platter first, spacing them out evenly.Fill in any gaps with smaller vegetables or add-ons like olives.

Add garnishes, such as herbs or edible flowers, if desired.Serve and enjoy!
