A hot cup of homemade Wassail is one of my favorite holiday drinks. It's a delicious hot cider drink that combines the flavors of orange and apple with cinnamon and spices.

Hot Wassail

apples

apple cider

orange juice

lemon juice

cinnamon

ginger

nutmeg

light brown sugar (, optional)

Poke the whole cloves into the apples on all sides.&nbsp;

Add all of the ingredients, including the apples, to a large pot over medium low heat.&nbsp;

Bring to a simmer. Simmer for 30-45 minutes.&nbsp;

Remove the apples and whole cloves. Ladle into mugs and enjoy!

This delicious crockpot wassail recipe can be thrown together in five minutes then enjoyed warm for hours! Apple, orange, cinnamon, and other holiday spices give this a delicious aroma and flavor that will fill your entire house!

Crockpot Wassail Recipe

cinnamon sticks

tsp whole cloves

star anise ((optional))

naval orange ((sliced))

orange

Place all ingredients into a slow cooker.

Heat on high for two hours covered or four hours on low to warm up the mixture. If you’re going to have it on for a long period of time (more than two hours), make sure to move it down to low to just keep warm.
