Optional garnishes: coarse sugar, mint sprigs, lime slices, watermelon wedges

Place the watermelon, lime juice, sugar and 1 cup of the water in a blender. Blend until smooth.

Strain the watermelon mixture into a pitcher and discard solids. Add the remaining water to the pitcher and stir to combine. Chill until ready to serve.

For garnishes: if desired, dip the rims of the glasses into a bowl of water then place the glasses, rim side down, onto a plate of coarse sugar and rotate until rims are coated with sugar. Pour agua fresca into the sugar rimmed glasses and top with mint sprigs, lime slices and/or watermelon wedges.

This Watermelon Agua Fresca (also known as Agua de Sandia) is a light and refreshing summer drink made with only 3 ingredients - watermelon, water and a touch of sugar!

Combine diced watermelon and cold water in a large blender. Pulse on high until watermelon is 95 percent pureed.

Add in sugar, pulse on high to mix and taste. Add more sugar if necessary.&nbsp;

Serve chilled over ice. Garnish with limes and mint.&nbsp;

Watermelon Agua Fresca Recipe

watermelon (- deseeded)

water (or add as required)

½ inch chopped ginger

lemon juice (or as required)

sugar (or add as required, optional)

ice cubes ((optional))

mint leaves (or mint sprig - for garnish, optional)

Chop half of a large watermelon. If you prefer you can use the entire watermelon too. Remove the seeds while chopping watermelon.

Blend all the chopped watermelon cubes, ginger, lemon juice, sugar and water in a blender.

Keep a large bowl or pan below a medium mesh strainer.

Pour the juice on the strainer.

Press the pulp on the strainer with the back of a spoon so that the extra juice also filters through. If you want you can skip this step of straining the juice.

Discard the pulp.

Pour the agua fresca in glasses and add a few ice cubes if you like.

Serve watermelon agua fresca straight away garnished with lemon slices or mint sprigs. You can also enjoy the drink as is without the ice cubes and garnishes.

water (0.01)

¼ - ½ cup agave or cane sugar (0.61)

To start, slice the watermelon in wedges and remove the rind. Seed each piece if you&#39;d like, then cut it into small chunks and transfer to a blender.

Add 1 cup of water and mix on high until smooth, then transfer to a large mason jar or pitcher. Repeat the same process with the other half of the watermelon.

Add the rest of the water into your pitcher along with &frac14; cup sweetener and stir. Taste and add more sweetener or water to your liking.

Transfer the jar to your fridge to chill for a few hours, or serve your agua de sandia immediately over ice with mint sprigs, fresh basil, lime, or lemon wedges. Enjoy!

Add the watermelon, water, lime juice, and sugar to a blender and blend on high speed until smooth. There will still be some very small pureed chunks.

Next, strain the watermelon agua fresca through a strainer. You can use a chinois. thoroughly chill the agua fresca in the refrigerator before serving it.

Dip a glass in lime juice and then sugar to make a sugared rim. You can also use salt.

Chill the drink and then serve it in the sugared glass with a lime wedge and mint.

This is my second time making this, and it's a easy delish drink. I use sparking water and simple syrup.
