Easy Whole Wheat Flatbread (4 Ingredients!)

water

salt

olive oil

white whole wheat flour

herbs (rosemary, basil, oregano, etc.)- Optional

Combine the warm water and salt and let the salt dissolve.

Add in the whole wheat flour and work it with your hands until the moisture is distributed.

Knead it with your hands for 3-4 minutes.

Cut it into 8 small pieces and roll each of the pieces out into a very thin sheet.

Heat in a pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side. You won&#8217;t need any oil and as long as you use a non stick pan, you shouldn&#8217;t have any trouble flipping them.

Keep them in an airtight container until you&#8217;re using them.

This flatbread is simply phenomenal, and it is SO quick and easy to make!.  I used 1c whole wheat flour and 1c unbleached all-purpose flour, with varying amounts of fresh rosemary.  It is great either cooked thicker and softer or thinner and crispier, and it keeps quite well.  This is a new staple!

This whole wheat flatbread is made in just 15 minutes, no yeast required! You can mix it up and cook it on the stovetop in just a few minutes, so you can have flatbread ready whenever you need it!

Add in the whole wheat flour and use a wooden spoon to stir until the dough starts to get sticky.

Work it with your hands until the moisture is distributed. This may take 2-3 minutes of kneading.

Heat in a pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned.

Just made it. Was watching a cooking show last night where they made it with white flour and yeast. Maybe some day I'll try yeast. This was a great first time recipe. It turned out scrumptious.
