The best, most delicious Deer Burger recipe that is so easy to make! These ground venison hamburger patties are juicy, flavorful, and grilled to perfection!

Best Deer Burger Recipe

venison meat

saltine crackers

Worcestershire sauce

onion powder

paprika

black pepper

garlic powder

salt (added just before cooking; about ¼ teaspoon per burger)

6-8 burger buns

toppings (cheese, lettuce, onion, pickles, ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, etc.)

Add ground venison, cracker crumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and garlic powder into a large mixing bowl. Using your hands, mix together until just combined. Don&#39;t over mix!

Shape

Form meat mixture into 6-8 even balls (6 if cooking on the grill or 8 if cooking on the stovetop). Gently pat down and shape into burger patties. Place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper or parchment paper. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes (this helps patties stick together while cooking).

Preheat

Preheat the grill to medium-high (450-500°F). If cooking on the stovetop, preheat your cast-iron skillet over medium heat for about 3 minutes before cooking.

Salt

When ready to cook, liberally salt both sides of the patties (about ¼ teaspoon per patty). Using your thumb or the back of a spoon, make an indention in the middle of the top of each patty (this will prevent patties from puffing up while cooking).

Grill

To Cook on the Grill: Place patties on the preheated grill, thumb indention side down, and cook over medium-high heat (450-500°F) for 3-5 minutes. Flip the patties over and cook an additional 3-5 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F.

Cook

To Cook in a Cast-iron Skillet: Add 2 Tablespoons of butter to the preheated pan. Once melted, add 2-3 burger patties, thumb indention side down, and cook over medium heat for 3-5 minutes. Flip over and cook an additional 3-5 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F. Continuing cooking the rest of the patties, 2-3 at a time and adding 1 Tablespoon of butter in between batches, as needed.

Cheese

Place sliced cheese on top of patties immediately after cooking while they are still hot.

Assemble

Assemble burger: Spread mayonnaise and/or mustard inside a burger bun. Add lettuce, burger patty, tomatoes, onion, ketchup, and/or pickles.

Serve

Serve with French fries, potato chips, and/or onion rings. Enjoy!

Homemade Fried Rice

oyster sauce*

soy sauce (plus additional to taste)

unsalted butter (divided,

eggs (lightly beaten)

canola oil

large red, yellow, or orange bell pepper

(12-ounce) bag of frozen peas and carrots (thawed)

garlic

COLD cooked brown rice (break up large clumps with your fingers)

Stir

In a small bowl, stir together the oyster sauce and soy sauce. Set aside. Grab a small bowl and a large, flexible rubber spatula and keep both handy.

Heat 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot, about 2 minutes. Add ½ tablespoon butter and swirl to coat the bottom of the pan. Add the eggs, and cook without stirring until they barely start to set, about 20 seconds. With your spatula, scramble and break the eggs into little, bite-sized pieces. Continue to cook, stirring constantly now, until eggs are just cooked through but not yet browned, about 1 additional minute. Transfer eggs to the small bowl and set aside.

Return the skillet to the heat, and increase the heat to high. Let the skillet warm until it is nice and hot, about 1 minute. Add the canola oil, and swirl to coat. Add the diced bell pepper, and cook until it is crisp-tender, about 4 minutes.

Add the remaining 1 ½ tablespoons butter, peas and carrots, and edamame. Cook, stirring constantly, for 30 seconds. Stir in the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds (do not let the garlic burn!).

Add the brown rice and the oyster sauce mixture. Continue cooking, stirring constantly and breaking up any remaining rice clumps, until the mixture is heated through, about 3 minutes. Add reserved eggs and green onions. Cook and stir until the mixture is completely heated through, about 1 minute more. Enjoy immediately with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or dash of hot sauce and additional soy sauce as desired.

Complete with a fried egg and lots of veggies, this savoury oatmeal bowl is a delicious and healthy breakfast that is high in protein, high in fibre, and quick and easy to prepare.

Savoury Oatmeal Bowl

oats

water

egg, add more if needed

kale

cherry tomatoes

chilies

feta

olive oil

Sea salt

In a small saucepan, combine oats, water, and a pinch of sea salt, and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook on low heat for 5-8 minutes, stirring frequently, until all of the liquid has been absorbed and oats are tender.

In a large frying pan, heat olive oil on medium-high heat. On one side of the pan, crack egg and allow to fry and cook to your liking. On the other side of the pan, add kale, cherry tomatoes, crushed chilies (optional), and a pinch of salt and pepper and allow to cook along with the eggs until kale is tender and cherry tomatoes can easily be broken by the touch.

Once the oats are cooked, transfer them a bowl and top with the cooked kale, cherry tomatoes and fried egg. Sprinkle with feta cheese, salt, pepper, and additional toppings of your liking to serve.

This restaurant-style Chicken Fried Rice has the most flavorful rice in a savory sauce with juicy chicken, vegetables, and fluffy eggs.

Chicken Fried Rice

white long grain rice (See notes.)

chicken broth

soy sauce

honey (can sub brown sugar)

hot sauce

sesame oil (optional)

ginger

peanut oil (can sub olive or

¾ lb. boneless skinless chicken breast (1 medium breast)

Salt/Pepper

butter

eggs (whisked very well)

dry white wine (see notes)

garlic (minced)

onion

peas

carrots

Note 1: A 3-quart saucepan or Dutch oven with a tight-fitting lid is highly recommended for cooking rice.

Rinse the rice: Add the rice to a large bowl and submerge it in cold water. Move the rice around in the water to rid it of excess starch, the water will become cloudy. Pour out the starchy water and repeat until water comes out clear. Remove excess water from the bowl.

Add 2 cups chicken broth to a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Add the rice and submerge it into liquid. Bring back to a boil and cover the pot. Reduce heat to a gentle simmer (I put my heat on medium-low), and let it steam for 20 minutes (refer to package for exact time).

Spread the cooked rice out on a tray and transfer to the fridge to allow it to cool completely, this ensures it’s nice and crispy when fried.

Cook the Rice

While the rice cooks, combine the sauce ingredients.

Dice the chicken into 1/2 -inch pieces. Place it in a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of the sauce mixture to it. Toss to coat and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce/Marinate the Chicken

Melt the butter over medium heat and add the whisked eggs. Cook/scramble until just cooked through, then remove and set aside. (I like to use an 8-inch nonstick skillet when I make fluffy scrambled eggs.)

Scramble the eggs

Add the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sprinkle the chicken lightly with salt/pepper and add it to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until seared and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

Reduce heat to medium and add the wine. Use a silicone spatula to “clean” the bottom and sides of the pan and let the liquid reduce by half, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the onions and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the peas and carrots (it’s okay if they’re still frozen) and cook for 1 minute.

Add the chilled rice and the remaining sauce. Increase heat to medium-high and toss continuously for 2-3 minutes, until the rice is brown from the sauce and heated through.

Reduce heat to medium and add the chicken, eggs, and green onions and toss to coat and heat through. Remove from heat and serve!

Stir Fry

This family favorite, was handed down to me from my Grandma. The easy baked macaroni and cheese recipe is creamy, super simple, and so tasty just like Grandma made it! This recipe is perfect for everyday, holidays, or pot lucks!

Baked Macaroni and Cheese

pasta

cheddar cheese (divided (see note))

pepper (or more to taste)

Preheat oven to 350˚F.

Cook pasta to al dente per package directions. While the pasta is cooking, shred the cheddar cheese with a cheese grater.

Once pasta is done, turn off the burner, drain the water, then return to the burner it was cooked on. The residual heat will help to melt everything together.

Stir in the butter. Once the butter is melted into the noodles, add the egg and stir to coat. Then stir in the milk, salt, and pepper.

Stir the shredded cheese in a handful at a time, making sure to reserve about 1/4 of the cheese for topping the casserole.Continue to stir until the cheese is completely melted.

Transfer the macaroni and cheese into a large casserole dish, and sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.Bake in the preheated oven uncovered for 20 minutes, or until the top of the cheese is melted.
