Step 1
Line the broccolini on the chopping board and trim off about 5mm of the ends of the stem then wash under cold running water and drain in a colander.
Step 2
Transfer it to the large bowl and cover it with hot boiling water, leave it to soak for 2 minutes, drain it in a colander, and rinse under cold water to stop it from cooking further.
Step 3
Pat it dry with a kitchen paper towel, drizzle olive oil over the broccolini, and toss to combine, add onion granules, garlic granules, salt, and black pepper, and toss to combine.
Step 4
Place the broccolini in an air fryer basket (no need to preheat) in a single layer and cook for 5-6 minutes at 180C/365F flipping it halfway through the cooking time or until the broccolini is cooked to your liking.
Step 5
Remove the broccolini from the air fryer, garnish with lemon zest, squeeze fresh lemon juice over it and sprinkle some chili flakes on top, and serve immediately. Enjoy
