Preheat oven to 350°. In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar and cornstarch. Stir in pineapple, soy sauce, garlic salt and ginger. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir until thickened, about 1 minute., Place chicken in a greased 9-in. square baking dish. Pour half of the sauce over chicken. Bake, uncovered, 15 minutes. Baste with remaining sauce. Continue baking until a thermometer reads 165°, basting occasionally. If desired, sprinkle with chives.
