Step 1
Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 10x15" jelly roll pan with parchment paper and set aside.
Step 2
Cake: In a large mixing bowl combine the cake mix, 3 eggs and 1 egg yolk, 1 cup milk, ½ cup melted butter. Whisk until smooth.
Step 3
Pour cake batter into prepared pan. Bake 12-15 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely.
Step 4
Filling: Use an electric mixer to whisk the marshmallow fluff, butter, cocoa powder and powdered sugar in a medium sized bowl.
Step 5
Assemble & chill: Use a 3.5" tree shaped cookie cutter to cut out the tree shapes from the cake. Slice the trees in half widthwise and spread with filling. Place the top part on the filling, to create a sandwich.
Step 6
Set your filled trees in the freezer to chill for 30 minutes.
Step 7
Chocolate coating: In a microwave safe bowl melt your chocolate almond bark in 30 second intervals until smooth and melted.
Step 8
Carefully dip each tree into the chocolate, tapping off the excess and placing on a parchment paper lined tray. Repeat with all the trees.
Step 9
Melt the white candy melts the same way as above and place into a small ziplocked bag with the corner snipped off. Pipe white stripes on each tree and top with Christmas sprinkles. Let cool to set & enjoy!
