Step 1
Slice the onion into thin slices, layer on the bottom of a sprayed crock pot..then smash the cloves of garlic and throw them in with the onions.
Step 2
Wash the chicken, and lay them on top of the onions and garlic. salt and pepper the chicken, and sprinkle the garlic powder on the chicken.
Step 3
in a medium bowl, mix the soups, and the chicken stock. Now pour over the chicken. Put the lid on the pot, and cook on high for 1 hour, then turn the pot to low, and cook for 3 more hours. Check for tenderness, if the chicken is fork tender remove the chicken from the pot to a plate.
Step 4
Mix the sour cream into the soups and stir till combined, add the parsley. If the sauce is too thin,at this point I take 1 tbsp of flour and add just a tiny bit of water to make a paste. Whisk the paste into the sauce, it should thicken right up. Return the chicken to the pot, and keep warm till ready to serve.I like to serve this with rice, or mashed potatoes, using the sauce as gravy. A side of veggies, and you have dinner..
