Step 1
In a pot combine all black tea ingredients together, bring it to a boil, once it starts to boil turn heat off then let it cool to room temperature. Place in a container, keep in the refrigerator until needed.
Step 2
In a pot boil 6 cups of water, add tapioca pearls and brown sugar then cook until soft. It will take around 25 minutes. Once cooked set it aside with the cooking liquid.
Step 3
Make your syrup, combine water, molasses and brown sugar, place over stovetop over medium heat then cook until liquid has thickened and reduced half of its volume. Turn heat off then set it aside.
Step 4
Per serving, smear a good amount of black sugar syrup on the sides of a tall glass, place some tapioca pearls, pour black tea, milk and cream then top it with ice. Serve.
