Step 1

Preheat the oven to 550 degrees F.

Spread the hummus on top of the pita bread.

Add the red onion, diced tomato and feta cheese spreading evenly over the hummus.

Step 4

Season with the za'atar spice and drizzle the whole flat bread lightly with some olive oil.

Step 5

Place on a baking sheet and bake for about 7-8 minutes or more if you prefer the pita bread with some char around the edges.

Step 6

Slice and serve at once.

Step 7

Add thinly sliced jalapeño to the flat bread before baking.

Step 8

Add 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts before baking.
