Preheat oven to 400°F.

Cook the ground beef and onions in a large skillet over medium heat for five to six minutes or until it is no longer pink (about 8-10 minutes). Break up large pieces with a meat chopper or potato masher. Drain any fat.

Add the taco seasoning and water to the beef, stir well to combine, then turn the heat down to low and allow it to simmer for 10 minutes.

Line a large-rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange half of the tortilla chips in a single layer of chips.

Repeat with another layer and the remaining ingredients.
Step 8
Bake the beef nachos in the oven for about 10 minutes.
