Name: Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients: Kosher salt; 1 lb. fettuccine; 1/2 c. heavy cream; 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter; 1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan, plus more for sprinkling; Freshly ground black pepper; 2 tbsp. chopped parsley

Make this east Fettuccine Alfredo and impress all of your friends. 

Fettuccine Alfredo

Kosher salt

c. (1 stick) butter

c. Parmesan,

black pepper

parsley

In a large pot of boiling  salted water, cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water then drain.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium heat, add cream and butter. Cook until butter is melted and the cream is bubbling. Whisk in Parmesan and season with salt and pepper. Let sauce simmer 1 to 2 minutes to thicken slightly. Sauce will still bee thin, but will thicken more as sauce cools and once pasta is added.&nbsp;

Add cooked pasta and toss until coated in sauce.&nbsp;If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water, 1 tablespoon at a time. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

I came across this recipe for dinner and had all ingredients on hand do I went for it . I followed recipe exactly except I made a half of box of fettuccine noodles since I am only cooking for two. I did take the advice from other reviewers and saturated some garlic before making sauce as I prefer a garlicky sauce . But the sauce turned out amazing and didn’t need to add any reserved pasta water as the consistency was great. I would probably double the recipe if I was cooking for a larger crowd and you like saucy noodles but overall a fantastic sauce and will NEVER buy a store bought sauce again as this is too easy to make and WAY BETTER !!

Thank you so much for this recipe!! It was my first time making my own alfredo sauce and I'll never have it any other way. I didn't have heavy cream so I substituted it with whole milk, butter and flour.

good taste but there is NOT enough sauce for the amount of pasta. I will double the amount of sauce next time i make it.

Made this tonight - we are in the middle of the quarantine for the COV - 19... so this is what I had to substitute: Used Romano instead of Parmesan, half-n-half instead of cream, dried parsley.  My husband is gluten free, so gluten free fettuccini.  This turned out wonderful. It is so flavorful. I loved that it was not super saucy. I kept all of the proportions the same. Tasted like it came out of the fine Italian restaurants.  I did add just a sprinkle of garlic salt, but it was just enough to hint the garlic that is more typical in Alfredo.  LOVED this. It will definitely be in our rotation.

This was quick, easy and delicious.  I followed the recipe exactly but added fresh garlic with butter and heavy cream as suggested in the comments.  Also only used half of fettuccini.  It was very good!!  Will definitely use this recipe again.  Chicken and Shrimp too!

So still made it even though I didn’t have Parmesan cheese. I did have mozzarella and the dish came out pretty tasty.

I made this for dinner tonight . Followed recipe exactly for the sauce except I took other reviewers advice and sautés some garlic to make a garlic sauce cause I love a garlicky sauce . Turned out wonderful . I only made a half a box of fettuccine noodles as I am only cooking for two and was just right amount of Sauce . Would probably double sauce if made more noodles . So easy too make a way better than a store bought sauce . Will always be my go to recipe now and will NEVER BUY A STORE BOUGHT SAUCE AGAIN !!!

Delicious!  Added asparagus and it was yummy.  I added too much pasta water so had to add extra cheese.  Will make again.  So easy!

Best Alfredo and so easy!! Turns out even more amazing if you sautee some fresh garlic in the pan and then melt the butter with the garlic before adding the cream. Add some shrimp or chicken too for a little protein 🙂

I made this for my 4 very picky eaters and all 4 LOVED it!  I read the comments before and decided to add some garlic as others suggested. That definitely helped as well as some chicken.  Super easy and delicious! Every one had seconds and requested I make it again!  Thanks for the recipe!  Never buying Alfredo sauce again!

This is a favorite at our house. I usually cook chicken and broccoli to go in it.  Tonight I’m add shrimp.

This is the best recipe I have cooked for my family yet. It tastes soooo rich and creamy! This is now my go-to recipe to cook! 5 stars! (I’d recommend to add a little garlic)

By itself this is a great recipe, but it is a bit bland, I would add 1/4 cup of butter( not 1/2) and add 1/2 cup of Romano cheese

This was easy and Delish! So much better than using the jars of sauce . I added garlic, peas, mushrooms and rotisserie chicken 💗
