After reading some of the comments, I used a little more of the spices and it came out great!! I added more jalapeño, and rounded the cumin and chili powder. I also used 3x the amount of tomato paste. Simmered it for a bit longer to get the consistency I wanted. Came out on the spicier side but well balanced

Too watery, even tho I only used half the amount of stock. The flavor is pretty good. Next time I’ll dump the bean juice and use all the stock. Also, it probably makes closer to 6 servings.

I have made this soup 3 times now and I love it. I was careful in adding the vegetable broth even the first time because I’m only one person and didn’t want a large quantity of soup. Smashed a few beans but not too many because I like the whole beans. Always put some in the freezer.

Made it following the directions except I doubled the jalapeños. Very quick and very tasty.

Amazing soup!! I have been craving black bean soup for months and have even ordered it at a couple of restaurants with much disappointment. Today I decided to make it myself and what delicious surprise!! I will be adding this to my list of favorites!!😁

Awful. Do not put the full quart of broth in. This must be a typo. The end result is a watery mess. Nothing like the picture.

Followed recipe exactly as written - too watery. I used my immersion blender, and blended the crap out of it trying to thicken it up...still too watery.  The soup in the picture above doesn't match the result, blended or not. The flavor was good but not that robust.  Needed either less liquid or more beans.  Felt like I could have almost double the beans, or cut the liquid by two thirds.   
I will try it again with the mods I mentioned.

So easy and wonderful. I'd also consider adding ham or smoked turkey after using the immersion blender. Reheats very well.

Even though there are minimal ingredients, this soup has TONS of flavor. In fact, it's delicious even without the cream. 

Best-Ever Cauliflower Soup

This recipe is a keeper. I added onion powder, garlic powder & one medium sized potato (in place of milk/cream). Very pleased with the result.

Really good soup - although as another reader stated, it is quite bland so I added more thyme, chicken bouillon, garlic powder, onion powder, and harissa paste to give it some spice. Really good with the additions!

Excellent soup.  I added a little basil, jalapeño pepper and carrot.  Then blended so smoother texture.  Awesome flavor.

I made this tonight in my instant pot. I reduced the broth to 4 cups because there is no evaporation. As another reviewer suggested, I first sautéed the onions and then added the garlic as directed. I dumped all the remaining ingredients except for the cream. I pressure cooked it for 6 minutes with a natural release for 20. I couldn’t resist adding a shake of siracha spice. This was very good. I will cook it again!

Very tasty! I did not have a bay leaf but this still turned out very good. I added a pinch of smoked paprika like one of the previous reviews- great suggestion. Will make this again 🙂👌

Really delicious and easy!  I love this Soup for an easy Sunday night.

Pretty bland! Had to add a lot to it, but it was a good base.

Which is more important in a weeknight dinner recipe?

Delicious and didn't even tweak anything.  Except kept portions of the honey sauce the same and just cooked 2 fillets.  Putting the salmon a top rice with the added sauce was perfect.  I ddded it to my Favorites-Tried & True Recipes collection.  Thank you!

My fiance and I made this over the weekend together and it was honestly one of the best salmon meals weve made together in a while. It was so easy and so delicious that I ended up making it again the next night lol. Highly recommend!

Can you believe it took me 30+ years to eat fish. Never was a fan. Just started bc my husband fishes and the taste isn’t really THAT bad. So in the name of variety.. I decided to try salmon. I ran across this recipe... I’m in love!!!! My husband tried it and asked for more!!! It was THAT delicious!!!!

I've made this almost every week since trying it for the first time a few months ago. It's so simple, but turns out delicious every time! I highly recommend serving it over roasted brussels sprouts and spooning a little extra sauce over everything.

AMAZING! I highly recommend this for couples. Great date night or even just a week night dinner. Easy instructions, and pan-searing is not as hard as we thought it would be. The taste was DELICIOUS! We made just the salmon, but would go nice with a sald. :)

Absolutely delicious! Loved that I had most of the ingredients already, just needed to get fresh salmon. Super easy, highly recommend. We used a cast iron pan just like in the video which I recommend doing if you have one, helped to get a nice sear and had plenty of room to baste.

Just tried this recipe and it is amazing!! I have tried a similar recipe with ginger and garlic but this was way better and because it’s all made in one pan, it was so quick and easy. Served with some brown rice and broccoli - perfect weeknight meal.

This was excellent, but I think salmon is supposed to be cooked skin side down first to avoid burning it. So I did that, and then flipped it over and cooked for 1 minute on the other side! Very good recipe.

Easy and delicious! highly recommend. Just the perfect blend of salty, sweet, citrus, and spice. And if you want more of any of those it’s super easy add more.  I added peppers and broccoli and served over angel hair pasta. My only tweak was to make extra of the sauce for those who like more. Will be making this a gain for sure! Thank you!

This was the most delicious salmon recipe. And simple. Usually buy my salmon pieces pre-marinated and oven cook. With this recipe it is the combination of the cooking method and the sauce that just works. I had a jar of truffle honey that decided to use and it infused an earthy honey taste. Forgot the garlic by accident. Still so amazing. Can not wait to make it again.

My daughter and I did not love this. In fact neither of us finished it. There was something about the sauce neither of us liked.

This was so delicious and easy to make! It’s going to be a weekly staple for sure!

This turned out really good. My girls ate a ton! I didn't have fresh basil, but I had a jar of pesto, and added it. Also, a cup of mozzarella isn't nearly enough. We're all about the cheese!

Have reviewed all comments. There are dozens of ways to make this dish. Take the basic recipe, prepare it , then next time, try varying it a bit, using some of the suggestions in the comments. This is truly a classic home comfort food. Congratulations to  Delish.com. WONDERFUL RECIPE !!

I loved this dish! I added some diced zucchini (raw) before I baked it. Turned out great ( the zucchini was cookedperfectly, and not mushy, it paired well with the spaghetti) add a salad and perfect quick fast and easy meal!

I don't understand the negative comments being posted about this recipe. It was delish with a budget of under $20 dollars even added ground italian sausage. #triedandtrue #serveitupwithlove

Great go to dish.. I added some chopped bell peppers 🌶.. Family loved it

The kids really loved this dish and so did I. I found that the portion of sauce to spaghetti was off though and ended up using about 3/4 of the 16 ounces. I also added more garlic to the sauce and more cheese on top.I can see it being good with substituting Italian turkey sausage for the ground beef.

Awesome meal, everything fresh makes it pop. Needed more than a cup of cheese

Baked spaghetti is a winner, but as with most recipes you have to tweak this one. You will definitely need to add more Italian seasoning and garlic to the sauce unless you like a very bland sauce. And use 2 to 3 cups of cheese— a nice mixture of mozzarella and sharp cheddar is ideal. Only 1 cup cheese for 6 servings is bogus! You want a big chewy LAYER of cheese on top of the spaghetti, not just a little cheese here and there.

I made this tonight (eating right now).  I definitely miss the sauce.  I'll probably make it again with some modifications/additions.

I used edamame noodles, added some Italian sausage, Mushrooms, and spinach... AMAZING!

I just finished making the bake spaghetti. I put my extra touches to the recipe. It turned out to be delicious! Serve with Five Cheese Garlic bread.

So this turned out really well,  definitely add more cheese, next time i make it, i'll try some of the modifications. of course i'm a garlic fiend and 2 cloves are never enough for me, so i doubled it. all 3 of my kids ate 3 helpings when they usually will not eat much at a time.

Pork Chops with Peppers from Gordon Ramsay&#x27;s Home Cooking book is such a simple, delicious recipe. The sweet and sour peppers compliment the savory pork chops so perfectly.

Gordon Ramsay's Pork Chops with Peppers

pork chops,

sea salt (*I used Maldon sea salt flakes

pepper (*I linked the BEST pepper grinder)

garlic, skin on, crushed

thyme

butter

red onion,

red peppers,

sea salt

pepper

tbsp sugar

tbsp red wine vinegar

tbsp extra virgin olive oil

basil, leaves

First prepare the peppers. Heat a little olive oil in a large frying pan, then add the onion and peppers. Season with salt and pepper, add the sugar, and sauté over high heat for 4-5 minutes until soft and colored. (Make sure you can hear the vegetables hissing in the pan. If not, the pan isn&#x27;t hot enough and you&#x27;re in danger of boiling the vegetables instead of sautéing them.)

Add the vinegar and let it bubble for a minute or two until it has reduced and the peppers are soft. Turn down the heat, add the tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, and cook for additional 2-3 minutes. Stir in the shredded basil and continue to cook for 30 seconds, then turn off the heat. Transfer to a bowl and set aside to infuse. Wipe the pan clean, ready to cook the pork.

Using a sharp knife, make cuts into the fat of the chops, about ¼ inch deep and at 1½ inch intervals, making sure you don&#x27;t cut into the meat. (This will stop the meat from curling up during cooking and will make it cook more evenly.) Season the chops with salt and pepper really well on both sides, pushing the seasoning into the meat.

Place the cleaned-out frying pan over high heat until hot and add a dash of oil. Add the chops, garlic, and thyme and cook for 2-3 minutes until colored. Turn and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side, pushing the thyme under the chops and breaking up the garlic a little.

Toward the end of cooking time, add 3 chunks of butter and baste the chops with it as they are cooking, to speed up the cooking process and keep the chops moist. (Push the fatty edge of the chops toward the back of the pan to help render the fat.) Squeeze the garlic out of its skin and place it with the herbs on top of the chops.

Transfer the chops to a plate, and let rest for 5-10 minutes, spooning over the basting butter now and again.

Serve the chops on top of the peppers with the resting juices and a little juice from the peppers.

For those wondering, the approx. breakdown per serving is: 260 calories, 7.7g total carbs, 20g fat, 10.5g protein. May fluctuate depending on the kind of peppers used, and whether you include the chicken.

These were great; only thing I changed was cooking on the grill instead of in the oven. Also, we had close to 1/2 the filling left after we overfilled the peppers (great for leftovers!)

Turned out great! Everyone who sampled loved them. Me personally, I would try this again as a appetizer with jalapeno peppers instead.

Been meaning to write. A fellow from church turned me on to this last year with a 3 or 4 Giant Marconi peppers. I have seen Cubano peppers at Walmart which are along similar lines. This year I grew a bunch of my own.  If you can find them you'll def want to try it. This recipe is soooooooo decadent!!!! Almost too good to eat! Wow!!! Rian, I owe you! Btw...we subbed hamburger for cheecken. You're talking a pound of hamburger and a third of a pound of breakfast sausage or so. 3:1...  It's el yummo!!!

There is no need for the can with this easy Cream of Mushroom Soup from Delish.com. 

Cream of Mushroom Soup

8-oz. packages cremini mushrooms, sliced

c. sliced shitaake mushrooms

shallot, minced

garlic cloves,

vegetable stock

heavy cream

This was good but we thought a bit too watery for cream of mushroom soup. I also had a problem using an immersion blender in the large pot recommended because there simply wasn't enough soup to use it. I put it in a smaller saucepan, but it still was too large and I ended up making a mess all over the stove. If I make it again, I'll put it in a blender.

First time vegan dish, unbelievably delicious although I would’ve  Added more then a cup of mushrooms at the end, love mushrooms!!

Tastes excellent.  This was a simple to make recipe and a well needed break from just eating meat!

Such a quick recipe to throw together.  I ended up using beef rather than vegetable stock for a meatier flavor.  Still tastes great.  May add a splash of red wine next time.
