Step 1

For cripsy, tasty, charred brussel sprouts (my fave!) start by preheating your air fryer to 400 degrees F (or 200 degrees C) for around 3-5 minutes or whenever it's done preheating. This step is optional as most air fryers don’t require preheating but this step does help increase the crispiness/charred taste. You can also preheat and prep your frozen brussel sprouts in 1 min and add them to the air fryer whenever you're done coating them in oil and/or seasoning if you don't want to wait 3-5 mins.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, add frozen brussel sprouts (do not thaw) and coat them with oil. Toss to coat evenly. This helps with the brussel sprouts from sticking inside the air fryer.

Step 3

Want unseasoned roasted brussel sprouts? Skip this step. But I definitely recommend adding seasoning (salt, garlic powder and paprika) and tossing well so that the seasoning is evenly coated.

Step 4

Add into your air fryer tray and air fry at 400 degrees F (or 200 degrees C) for around 15-20 minutes total depending on your air fryer, tossing halfway (or until desired crispiness). Just check-in on them after 15 mins and cook for a little longer if need be. Some air fryers are more powerful and can cook faster, so you might have your preferred cooked brussel sprouts in 15 mins, whereas I found 20 mins (flipped halfway) for my air fryer was perfect to get extra charred, tasty brussel sprouts! It's better to cook for a shorter time and look first and then add more time vs overcooking it. And voila! Enjoy right away while it’s still hot!
