Step 1
In a large pot, add about one inch of water. Cover and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Set steamer basket with prepared green beans in boiling water.
Step 3
Cover and steam until tender, about 3-5 minutes.
Step 4
While the beans are steaming, heat extra virgin olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 5
Add the sliced garlic and cook for about 1 minute. When you begin to smell the garlic, it's done (Be careful not to burn the garlic).
Step 6
At this point, the beans should be cooked...just add them to your skillet and swirl them around in the oil and garlic.
Step 7
Add a few squirts of lemon juice and that's it.
Step 8
Serve immediately.
