This is a classic recipe of where you mix all the dry ingredients together in one bowl, and the wet ingredients will be stirred together in a saucepan, brought to a boil, then poured & mixed in with the dry ingredients.

PREHEAT OVEN to 475

In a large bowl add your dry ingredients:

Sugar, Flour, Cinnamon, baking soda & powder, and salt. Whisk all the dry ingredients together.

In a saucepan over med/high heat mix & stir together:

Butter, Water & Cocoa. Cook & stir constantly until boiling.
Step 7
Remove from heat, pour & mix over the dry ingredients & blend well.
Step 8
Add your Buttermilk, 2 beaten eggs, and vanilla into your batter. Mix together, but not over mix.
Step 9
Pour batter into your 9x13 baking dish & bake for 15-20 minutes. Your batter will be very thin compared to box mixes, so do not be worried. The high baking temperature (475*) will bake it perfectly!
Step 10
Once cake is down, remove from oven & allow to cool a little.
Step 11
Once cake has cool to a warm temperature, it's time to make your delicious frosting.

In a saucepan add 1 stick of butter, cocoa and milk.
Step 13
Stir, Stir, Stir until on medium heat until you reach a boil.
Step 14
Remove from heat.
Step 15
Add box of powered sugar, SHIFTED!

Add vanilla

And stir together until all the powered sugar is dissolved. (YUMMY!)
Step 18
Pour your frosting on your cake when it is still warm, and the frosting is at a medium heat.
