Step 1
In a small bowl combine salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Whisk together. Season both sides of each pork chop with the entire mixture.
Step 2
In a medium mixing bowl combine honey, chicken broth, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, and cayenne pepper. Whisk together and set aside.
Step 3
In a non-stick skillet over medium heat add olive oil and butter. Add pork chops and sear until browned. Flip the pork chops over and sear the other side.
Step 4
Once both sides are seared add the garlic to the pan and let cook for 30 to 45 seconds. Add honey mixture to the skillet and move pork chops around in the pan to coat in sauce on both sides.
Step 5
Let the sauce simmer until it reduces and turns a nice amber color. This takes about 15 minutes. Turn pork chops over every 5 minutes while the sauce is cooking.
Step 6
When the pork chops reach about 155 degrees when tested with a meat thermometer, then turn up the temperature of the burner to medium heat and bring the sauce to a fast, rolling boil until it finishes reducing and is thicker.
Step 7
Garnish the pork chops with fresh parsley and serve.
