Lemon Cream Cheese Bars Recipe

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°.

Step 2

Mix cake mix, butter and 1 egg.

Step 3

Press into a 9×13 inch ungreased pan.

Step 4

Beat cream cheese and sugar together in a bowl.

Step 5

Stir in lemon peel and juice.

Step 6

Reserve 1/2 cup of this mixture and chill for later use.

Step 7

Beat the remaining 2 eggs and vanilla into the cream cheese mix.

Step 8

Spread over the cake mixture.

Step 9

Bake for 25-30 minutes.

Step 10

Cool and spread with reserved cream cheese mixture.

Step 11

Chill until firm.
