Step 1

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, whisk all the ingredients and bring to a boil.

Step 2

Once the mixture has come to a boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes uncovered, whisking every couple of minutes.

Step 3

Once thickened, remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three weeks or freeze for up to six months.
