Step 1
Harvest the leaves in the morning and rinse thoroughly. Let leaves dry on flat surface or draining bowl.
Step 2
Bring to boil 2 cups of drinking water. Once water is boiling turn off heat source.
Step 3
Add clean shiso perilla leaves to the boiling water and let sit until water cools.
Step 4
Pour contents of pan into a drainer catching the liquid in another bowl
Step 5
Add vinegar and sugar to the liquid stirring well
Step 6
Serve chilled
