Drain and rinse the beans.

Fold the beans in with the spiced tomato sauce in the bowl with tomato paste and spices (and green onions if using). With a fork, gently press the beans in a few places to make the mixture creamier. Heat the beans in the microwave for 1-2 min until hot.
Step 5
Toast the whole grain bread.
Step 6
Serve the bean mix over toasted whole grain bread with optional fresh diced parsley on top.
