Went by the recipe the first time.  Added 1/2 cup diced bell pepper and 2 cups mixed vegetables since.  Love this recipe.  Easy and very good.  Thanks for the recipe.

I added corn, and turned it into a Make One- Freeze One!   Simple and delicious.  A definite keeper!

Super simple to make.  I added extra vegetables, and didn't broil.  Will definitely make again.

I use mild seasoning because that's what my family prefers.   If you aren't a fan of the prepackaged stuff, Taste of Home has a recipe for homemade that is fantastic.   I also used 2 tablespoons of minced dried onion instead of fresh.   My son gave this two thumbs up, my husband went back for seconds.   Leftovers reheated well the next day.   It would be easy to make up the meat mixture and freeze it for a future meal as well.

This was VERY easy to make and quite tasty. I also added some chopped green pepper in with the meat while cooking. Yummy!

I'm not a real fan of ground beef unless it's a burger, but this was a great dish for those that do like ground beef in recipes. Husband liked this a lot. I used leftover stuffed cabbage mixture instead of taco seasoning and it turned out very good. Will be making this again.

This is a wonderful recipe! I made it for my family to help my mom and I did not need any help. I have made it 2 times now and the second time I added one bag of microwavable mixed veggies. I also used instant mashed potatoes. Also, the broiling is optional if you don't care about it looking professional. I used 2 lbs. of beef to make it feed 6 instead of four and used garlic powder instead of cloves. It was a great, quick dish for a teen to make after a busy day!

LOL and what are left over mashed potatoes?  I never have those as left overs.But this is good anyway even if I have to make the mashed potatoes.

I was worried I was going to be disappointed with this since it was so basic, but it turned out to be great for my husband and I and our 2 young girls.  I only used 1 lb. ground beef, and don't forget to drain it after browning since the recipe doesn't mention it.  I mixed in 1/2 c. cheese with the potatoes and sprinkled 1/2 c. on top before broiling.  Make sure your skillet is oven safe.  This was great with a side of peas.

I made this the other night, but made just a few tweeks.  Instead of adding taco seasoning to the meat, I made my own spices, using Johnny salt, garlic, and rosemary.  I made real mashed potates with garlic.  I spread the hamburger (and cheese) mix on the bottom of a 9x9 baking pan, and put the potatoes (and cheese) on top, then topped with more cheese.  It came out pretty good, and is a good, quick stand-by recipe to go to.  I will make it again.

My family absolutely loved this! Could use ground lamb for a more traditional pie but this was awesome! Will make it over and over.

It needs something else added to give it some flavor.  I thought it was quite bland.

I dont think I will be making this again. My kids thought it was to spicy and the food just tasted like taco meat with potatoes on top. I also think if anyone does make this dont put in the whole envelope of taco seasoning mix it is WAY to much.. maybe use half or less? I was a little dissapointed in this meal.

My two-year-old son who is very picky at dinner had to helpings of this! It was delicious and full of flavor. Next time I think I will add corn into the beef mixture. I used garlic powder instead of fresh garlic.

I think it called for a few more mashed potatoes then needed. I layered it in a 3 quart corning ware caserole before placing it under the broiler.  Also since I had a little bit of Emeril's Garlic Sauce leftover in the fridge I added about 3/4 of a cup to the meat mixture.  My husband isn't a big fan of Taco seasoning.  Overall it was a big hit.

Added a can on green chiles to the ground beef and it was great!

Easy to make and fast!  Very good tasting.  I think next time though I might add a can of corn to it before the potatoes go on it.
