Add rice to a greased 9x13 baking dish.

Pour beef consommé over the rice.

Add French onion soup.

Top with sliced butter. (Some people add the whole stick and don't slice it. I personally always sliced my butter.)
Step 5
Cover with tin foil and bake at 425 degrees for 30 minutes.
Step 6
Remove the foil and stir the rice. Then bake uncovered an additional 30 minutes.
