Export 5 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Line an 11-by-7-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Bake regular brownies according to the back of the box instructions (not “cake like” or “fudgy” instructions). Allow the brownies to cool completely.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 3
In a medium pot on medium-high heat, add the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and a tiny pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook until the brown sugar is no longer granulated, 2 to 3 minutes. Add the pecans and whiskey. Stir to coat, then remove from the heat.
Step 4
In a small bowl, whisk the eggs while spooning in a bit of the warm nut mixture until the eggs are warmed as well. Once the eggs are warmed, whisk everything together until combined in the bowl or place the eggs in the pot and heat everything while whisking constantly until just warmed through. Pour over the brownies evenly.
Step 5
Bake the brownies until the topping is set, 23 to 25 minutes. Let cool completely before slicing. Garnish with a sprinkle of salt.
