Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Prepare a 12 x 6 brownie style pan or 9 x 9 square and line it with parchment paper. Set aside.

Mix the butter, sugar flour baking powder and egg yolk together with a pastry blender or fork, saving around 1 cup of dough for the top.
Step 4
Press the 2/3 of the dough into a 12 x 6 rectangular pan or 9 x 9 square pan that has been lined with parchment paper.
Step 5
In the bowl with the reserved dough saved, knead in the 2 tablespoons brown sugar evenly into the dough.
Step 6
Pour the blueberry filling. the mixture on top of the dough-lined pan.
Step 7
Dough reserved topping with small little pieces evenly (as shown in the photos), then place in the preheated oven.
Step 8
Bake at 375 preheated oven for around 35 to 45 minutes depending on the size pan or until golden brown on top.
Step 9
Cool completely and cut into bars.
Step 10
I store any leftovers in a covered plastic container in the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature.
